I now know that kidney stones are very painful from personal experience.

I also know that morophine can make you very nautous and vicadin can lessen the pain.

I've been officially acepted into the Graphic Design program at my school. At first at the beggining of the first semester I thought I was getting into an easy major thinking, "yey I get to draw stuff and touch up stuff with photoshop."

Wrong.. wrong.
It deals with typography, everything that is considered print media, process manuals, logo design, movie sequences, and lots of research(more than you would think in order to start sketching an idea.

They only accept 60 people a year (not a semester, the entire year). Where a pannel of judges look at your created process manual, the inventory in creating that manual, a few drawings, and a few photos, and two symbols. At one point I thought I wasn't going to make it, I was going to go back into accounting (something that was way less stressful but boring) but didn't and I'm glad I stuck with it.

Now the bad thing about this major is that you have to invest money on a lot of programs and materials (last semester I spent $60-70 in paper and threw out 70% of it because of misprinting/incorrect measuring). At the meeting for people who were accepted they told us that it will be physically and mentally impossible to work more than 20 hours because of how much work they will pile on us. They told us we'll need to adjust our lives and for some of us thats impossible because they need to support themselves. Another thing was that if we fail (C-) one class (since the classes they pick for us in the program are connected) we fail out for the entire year and have to wait until next year in order to progress in the program.

Congrats, Mad D! That sounds very exciting.

I like the idea of a program that's so intensive and so demanding. One of my biggest problems with college the first time around (as a business major, which is still hilarious to those that know me) was that the demands were so low. I was able to skate right through like I had in high school and got bored almost instantly.

I, personally, find it a lot easier (and a lot more fun in a masochistic way) to focus when you know that there are big, huge, *** kicking consequences if you don't.

Hope you're feeling better real soon!

Sigh.

My brake lights won't turn off. At all. I've tried everything I can think of (except giving in to frustration and going ape**** with a baseball bat) and they're still on. Been running since about 9:00 PM. Looks like they'll keep on running until the battery dies.

Why does this kind of stuff only happen late at night?

Take off the brake light cover and remove the bulb.

If the brake lights remain on after that, contact a priest.

That's the problem with new cars. Only way I could get to the bulb itself would be the aforementioned baseball bat method.

The only other thing I can think of is to disconnect the battery cable itself. Personally, I'm thinking you might just go ahead and schedule the exorcism.

;)

At this point, I'm just going to see if the car will start in the morning and take it from there.

It may be time to take down the little devil duckie that's hanging from the rear view mirror, though. One can only tempt fate for so long.

Just can't live here any longer. It is getting really bad and trashy. So, gave 30 days notice today. Now, just pray that the right place opens up in Natomas for a Jun 10-11 move. :(

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

We have a lot of members with a variety of contacts. Maybe one of them will hear about something.

:)
