Well, I am hypothyroid because of a problem with my medication. The doctor had it right, but we think the pharmacy messed it up. Not that it matters. I just want to feel better. It will be a few weeks before I really start to feel better. That's just great. I plan on moving in a couple of weeks, although I am still looking for a duplex in Natomas.

If anyone has any leads/contacts, please let me know.

not out in natomas. guy across the street says the house will be ready for renting by June 15th. ;)

I need to book one more party in June, got one lined up for July already. Anybody want to host? you get cool gifts and discounts. :)

I thought you were single: why do you want a duplex?

(pls forgive if I am being rude and nosy and uncouth)
My dear friend, Mr. Slim, it is obvious that you have never lived in CA. Very few people can afford to live alone here. Housing is just way too expensive.

Reminds me of when I was stationed in Hawaii; I was hemorrhaging money on an apartment, stuck in a year lease just so that I would have a place to live for the one month that my son came out to visit me.

So, I guess I can relate... only I didn't take on a roomate in HI; I decided I'd rather hemorrhage that money than share my personal space. I guess, when you get down to it, I'm just a loner at heart; I can't really stand to be around other people for any length of time, except for CJ...

houseboating - wakeboarding - tubing - bbq'ing - relaxing - talking - laughing - eating - snacking - playing cards - sharing ..... with family and friends .... God Bless America :)

Okay, y'all. I'm taking off for a week, so I'd appreciate if everyone would refrain from posting anything witty and/or insightful until I get back.

If you're dying to start a thread about trading Mike Bibby for a skunk, two badgers and a box of graham crackers, now would be a great time for it.

Thanks ever so,
Gadget.
Uh-oh...

Erm, G3?

There's a rumor floating around that Coach John Whisenant may be the next coach of the Sacramento Kings.

That's about all you missed.

I have a pea sized lump between my wrist and hand. I have'nt seen a doctor but I'm sure it's tendonitis (numbness and tingling in my hand, wrist dexterity problems, sensitive to just resting against something).

you shouldn't wait any longer even if its numbness. if anything is bothering you numbness, etc.. you should still go see a doctor. :)

I almost went out that trip in 8th grade! I remember my friends who went had a lot of fun, so enjoy! :D

Finally cut some dead weight at the office last week and today we started the process of putting out fires.

Oh... my... gawd. I had no idea that two employees could screw things up so royally in a six month period. The fact that no one has sued us yet is astounding.

I haven't seen a doctor but I did start wearing a brace, and started taking B vitamin suppliments. Soy beans helped too (amino acids). Now the lump is gone but my hand cramps up more than it used to. I'll see a doctor soon, I don't want it to get worse, I'm too young to have tendonitis.

It's interesting to me that so many people are freaking out about today's date. They refuse to go to work, won't leave their house. Some women refuse to have their babies today, and were induced yesterday. I was listening to some of them on the radio yesterday morning and it made me laugh how hysterical they were.

What a ****ty way to wake up.

I heard movement in the corner of my room and thought it might have been some kind of animal (I don't own any besides fish). Then the noise started to turn into loud popping. I walked over and smelled something like burning metal. Then my surge protector, multi power outlet started shooting out blue sparks. (It wasn't overloaded. It had my lamp and cell phone charger in it.) Then the power went out in my room.

Actually, Mad D, it's a pretty GOOD way to wake up if you consider the alternative... As RD said, it could have been a lot, lot, lot worse.

Today just might be your LUCKY day.

One of the real benefits of living up here is the absentee ballot. There are NO precincts up here in the forest. They tried to have a polling place at the fire station about 10 years ago. It didn't work out. I mailed my ballot in about a week ago. Anyone can ask for an absentee ballot. It sure makes it easier. Plus you don't feel rushed.
