Yeah, cover bands... they are okay when I am drunk. Actually found a really good one tonight. oh yeah, off subject I am now a Portishead fan!!

Hey, looks awesome man. I always enjoy and appreciate a GOOD cover band. Its the majority that turn me off though. I will have to take you up on that brew :D , then the next few rounds are on me~!

Can't believe tomorrow is Monday already, that sucks. Weekend really flew. :(

We do have originals .....

Our keyboard players has a bunch of 'em and one of our lead vocalists/guitarist has written a few. I've got a few as well.

Problem is time (not enough of it and we all work full-time) and we're all pretty beyond the "we're the next kick-a$$ band to make it big - SYNDROME" :D

... weekends are WAAAAAY too short - I vote we go to "4-day work weeks - at 10-hour days". :eek:

That's the sound I heard for about 20 minutes. My cats are still hiding, a mass of shivering fur, under the bed. Thunder is louder up here, it seems, and lasts forever...

I'm supposed to be going to Pacers game tomorrow and my friend who really wanted to go is now unlikely to attend:( Second time this season this has happened (different people). I need more bball friends! I don't get to see many games as it is so why do they do this?
 
Why is it that whenever I make a big CD order, the ones I'm most looking forward to always manage to get left back for the second shipment?

I've been doing light running/jumping/ lay-up drills pretty much non stop for about 2-3 hours everyother day since last week.

I'm not in pain, but my question is why do I feel a poking feeling on the opposite side of my knee cap? I can walk fine, but when I run it feels like something is pushing out. Any advice?

I'm thinking if I stop for a few days and try again I'll see if it goes away.

The # of rainy days in the Sacramento area, for the month of March which is 19, may be broken. I heard this morning as of yesterday, we've had 17 days of rain - with 3 days left and it's raininig today ... it just might happen :cool:

As of yesterday afternoon, the precipitation total for the season so far in Strawberry Valley (about two miles from me) is 99.87 inches.
 
... and that makes for a TON OF SNOW in the mountains ... but, I must admit - I AM READY FOR THE SUN !!!!! :)

Well, if you hate it so much, you will not like the following news.

Next year, daylight savings time will begin 2 weeks earlier and last 1 week later than in the past. :eek:

While I don't know how it was decided, I believe it to be true. I got it from my mother (in Illinois) who read it in her newspaper in the past day or two. That would be big news in Illinois where the farmers rely on the daylight saving hours for additional work on the farm.

Being in a huge agricultural state, I am surprised I haven't read anything here in CA.
 
The whole idea of farmers "needing" more daylight has always seemed to be ridiculous to me. The amount of daylight doesn't change. The idea farmers are so stupid they have to change their clocks to allow for the lengthening and shortening of days just strikes me as ludicrous.

Hey, it's 5 a.m. I have to get up. Oh wait. The sun isn't out yet! Oh NO!!! Whatever will I do? Oh, I know! Change my clock...

Just another one of life's little lunacies...

Going through a case filled with old sports cards I found:

4th year Barry Bonds and Randy Johnson cards 1

990 Reggie Miller and Scottie Pippen cards, Rony Seikaly Most Improved Player card, and a 1992 Scottie Pippen Orginal Dream team card.

edit: found Kiki Vandeweghe and Nate McMillian. Also Robert Parish and Kevin McHale (1990).
