Oh great! Now I am picturing Mad D stomping around on his counter, and trying to step into his cabinets. :D

Brick, you owe me a keyboard. Dang! That is 2 in one day.

ants invaded my apartment..came up from the closet near the door and snuck around the ceiling until they hit my food cabinet.. any suggestions except bug spray?
My mom used to dampen papertowels and sop 'em up that way, better than poisoning your countertops...

tried chili pepper powder.. they just walk around it.

they are along the ceiling's edge walking along it from corner to corner for about 30 feet. Then the decline down into the cabinet from behind and when you open it up it's full of ants. I tried the vacuum cleaner as a temporary solution, but i guess the house will have to be bombed (bug bomb).

There are these little metal things that we get that work really really well. They are called ...::runs to the laundry room cabinet::... " GRANTS' ant control system". They are this arrow like metal shape thing with another circle shaped thing on top (great description huh ;)). They come in few in a box and are available at your hardware stores.

I have them in various places through out the house...the best thing I've ever used.

I agree heartily! Grant's Ant Stakes (as they used to be called but probably had to be changed because someone might think they meant steaks????) have been around a long time. They work very well!

I can't give blood because I've had asthma since I was three and my blood is more albuterol than actual blood.
There were a few years where I had to stop donating blood because my Iron was too low, but I don't have that problem anymore. To date I have donated around 7 gallons.

2 of my sisters, 1 brother, and a brother-in-law donate regularly. I think we total (altogether) over 40 gal of blood. I am rather proud of that. :)

I also give blood regularly, one hour and one pint can save one live. I'll keep giving until they tell me I can't. ;)
Yep! Me too. I just got a call from our Blood Center today. It seems my 8 weeks to wait are up. ;) I go in after work on Wed.

Speaking of saving one life. When I was in Sacramento, I would often go in the morning (before they had their daily pediatric quota. Did you know that 1 pt is actually 4 bags for infants. I LOVED donating to the pedes and thinking about saving babies. :)

I think I may be a little behind in my Christmas shopping. I just realized it's already Dec. 13, and looking in the cupboard where I usually keep the gifts before I give them to the proper recipients I noticed something... The cupboard appears to be bare, except for a couple of cobwebs, about 2 inches of curled green ribbon, some ornament hangers, a dead fly and last year's Christmas cards.

Hmmmm. I may have a tough decision - who gets the fly?
