if you've had two or more pregnancies please volunteer when you donate blood to do the HLA screening, it's apparently something that will be able to help those patients who have had multiple transfusions and are having trouble with the transfusions being rejected. they don't take any more blood, but you might be able to save more lives.
You know what sucks about giving blood? You have to wait one year after getting a tattoo. I got a tattoo 1-1/2 years ago with the thought that I would add onto it once a year until finished, or about 3 years... It's not very big and in the same place Tag's tattoo is...that FREAKED ME OUT!
It took me three years to decide what I wanted, design it and get the tattoo installed (hehehehe), and I didn't consider at the time that I would no longer be able to donate blood. I liked donating blood .... and the subsequent free quart of Baskin Robbins ice cream that comes with it!
But I guess my vanity is stronger than I thought, however I only have one more installment left.

My tattoo was well planned and thought-out because I'm a prissy control freak who can't bear to live with regret.
My kiddies' names are there, and next year I'll add my husband's name and a halo, or possibly a pitchfork depending on how the year goes.

What a brave soul you are!!! Some people hide behind stuff, sounds like you don't, I admire that.

So, here I have sat for pretty much ALL DAY, posting responses and asking questions, and nothing has been done about my surroundings. I ate cookies for lunch and drank way too many diet vanilla cokes, so it's time to pay attention to those things that will survive long after on-line entertainment turns into more than an occassional hobby...

One of my projects at work tonight was to work on the 7th Heaven episode airing on Valentine's Day. And oh man.......it's 7th Heaven..........SINGS! It has to be seen to be believed. I sat at my work bench stupefied at this bizarrely compelling piece of work I was watching. I kept thinking of the scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the guy in the castle was waiting to break out into song. As soon as the musical cues kicked in, I had to brace myself to the seat to withstand the onslaught of entertainment. The only other time in recent memory that I've watched something slackjawed with disbelief was in "The Postman" with Kevin Costner when people started treating the postman as some sort of heavenly martyr. And I actually have a soft spot for that movie, so perhaps I feel the same for this episode. I wouldn't call it "bad." If they had played it totally straight, then perhaps I would. I don't know what to call it though. But it did make an entertaining end to my shift.

do you think i should just get them plain purple...or do you think i should get them purple with a white french manicure tip on it...OR should i get a darker purple with a lighter purple french manicure tip???
