I hate my wireless Linksys router. It will work fine for 3 months and then suddenly the signal disappears and/or it drops every few minutes. I then have to factory reset the thing and change the signal channel until it works again. When it is working it is fast 20000 kbps. I'm on a Mac so it can't be viruses or spyware. Right now I'm using my neighbors connection just to see if I can search for answers on google.

Anyone help?

You are entirely wrong here. Macs are just as susceptible to these things as Windows machines, the fact is that because of their very low market penetration most viruses are not designed for them, but they are not necessarily safer as Windows is much more proactive about fixing bugs and patching their software than Apple is.

Also, the virus often targets a program, not the platform it is running on.

So, please pay attention to security, even if you have a mac.

Annoying as it can be, I think it's just a Linksys thing. We had two different Linksys routers at my old job (neither wireless) and just became accustomed to having to reset them every so often.

Linksys has had that problem for years. Their routers are inexpensive and easy to configure, but they drop off the map every few weeks. No matter whether it's wireless or wired, they're not very dependable. If you just have a small in-home network, then it's no big deal, because you're probably not too worried about the settings and such anyways, but if you're trying to run an office with several users on it, you should invest in some better equipment.

Bat Hitches Ride to Space on Shuttle Discovery

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,509666,00.html

A small bat that was spotted blasting off with the space shuttle Sunday and clinging to the back side of Discovery's external fuel tank apparently held on throughout the launch.
NASA hoped the bat would fly away before the spacecraft's Sunday evening liftoff, but photos from the launch now show the bat holding on for dear life throughout the fiery ride.
"He did change the direction he was pointing from time to time throughout countdown but ultimately never flew away," states a NASA memo obtained by SPACE.com. "Infrared imagery shows he was alive and not frozen like many would think ... Liftoff imagery analysis confirmed that he held on until at least the vehicle cleared [the] tower before we lost sight of him."
Officials at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., where Discovery launched from a seaside pad, said the bat's outlook after launch appears grim.
"Based on images and video, a wildlife expert who provides support to the center said the small creature was a free tail bat that likely had a broken left wing and some problem with its right shoulder or wrist," NASA officials said Tuesday. "The animal likely perished quickly during Discovery's climb into orbit."

Next week I'll be like this kid. I need to get the rest of my wisdom teeth out.
lol, I remember when I had my wisdom teeth taken out! It was so weird. I remember being drugged up to the point where I couldn't feel any pain but the weirdest thing was that I knew where I was, I was awake and I remember the dentist and the assistants talking about their dinner plans that night while they were working on me!

I could hardly walk afterward and had to be led to the car.

Also, that video of the kid is funny, but the follow-ups are just irritating.

I was knocked out completely when I had my wisdom teeth out, though I think I woke up momentarily. I'd have never survived otherwise.

I highly recommend that you have them give you the prescription mouthwash for after care. Not all will do this, but if you ask they will. I think it is Periogard. I can double check because I had some for the gum surgery I had to have after my root canal last year. What I can tell you is that when I had mine done a bunch of my friends also had theirs done, all of us that got the mouthwash healed fine, the ones that didn't got dry sockets. Could just be random, but it was enough evidence for me to make sure I asked for and got the mouthwash.

I didn't have the special mouthwash and didn't get dry sockets when mine were yanked, so it is probably anecdotal evidence. Doesn't mean it isn't a good idea to get it though!

I watered your plants but I couldn't find your elephant. I hope he didn't get out when I wasn't looking. :p

Be sure and check out the Books thread in the Kings Rap forum. Other than that, the grades threads are always top notch (even if Brick does seem to keep returning to the same tired old theme) and there's a good interview with Joe Maloof in the Kings News Links area.

:)

Had my wisdom teeth out one at a time when I was teen. Under local anesthesia. Gargling/rinsing often with warm salt water had me heal up just fine. I got a dry socket on the last one, because I didn't use the salt water near enough. ("ouch*)
