Its happening!
Decided on a whim to get some cheap tickets on StubHub and go see Kurtz debut (say what you will about Fisher and the A’s situation, but being able to do this in Sacramento is pretty cool). Fun to see him get that first hit—Rocker was serving up fastballs to the previous batters but mixed things up to Kurtz. He finally got one to hit and took it, his helmet went flying, and he was clearly very excited as he bounded into first.
A lot of fans left by the end, and I get it, it was getting cold. But we weren’t going with Mason Miller coming out for the save. He hit 102 a couple times, so those heaters kept us warm!
Caray way better on the call than Jenny. Her voice sounds like a 12 year old. And Dallas Braden better with him than with her, imo.
Also side note but they gotta give Caray the full-time announcing gig already.
After couple more games at home this weekend against Philly heading out on the road for the A's. Maybe away from Sutter Health Park for 6 games will cure things since have winning road record compared to dismal at home. Of late A's lost lot of close games. Time to reverse that, get back to optimism had early on in the season when pilling up wins. The A’s winning for the first time in two weeks would help.
Maybe if you can't see down that baseline where you sit, perhaps have someone on staff that can watch balls hit down there and let you know what happens? The park is the park. Don't complain just because you don't adjust to it.Now seems A's completely fed up with just about everything! Current 10 game losing streak. So far mediocre ticket sales for home games. West Sac ballpark not up to MLB standards to say the least. Manager Mark Kotsay latest to blow a fuse complaining.
I think Kotsay stressed, everything now bugging him. Losing streak knowing his head could be on chopping block if A's role over on the road, 2 in Houston and 4 in Toronto.Maybe if you can't see down that baseline where you sit, perhaps have someone on staff that can watch balls hit down there and let you know what happens? The park is the park. Don't complain just because you don't adjust to it.
