Sorry I couldn't answer your question sooner. Stuck on a rig all day ... little hobby of mine. Still, with that first pick, I doubt it would have mattered what my answers were. I am all about the omnipotence over here.

The task is what ever evil plan for global domination/destruction you desire and your group's ability to accomplish that task and you expressed that with your first pick well. Ideally, when we face the heroes our groups will be judged on the heroes likeliness of thwarting that plan.

But as stated, it's going to come down to each individual voter's choice.

And if I'm not around to answer a question, which might be frequent, Jespher has all the info as well.

Also, I'm going to include where each villain is from in the rundown for people who may not be readily aware.

Anti-Monitor was one of the most formidable foes ever faced by the heroes of the DC Universe (or "Multiverse", as it was then and now). He is directly responsible for more deaths than any other known DC supervillain (trillions, at least), including killing Supergirl personally, though it could be suggested that when the universe 'restarted', most of the deaths attributed to him, in effect, never happened. He consumed thousands of positive-matter universes to increase his power, and was able to personally battle scores of the multiverse's strongest heroes simultaneously

I didn't want to tread on any toes, but I will try to help answer questions from now on if you are indisposed;). We are using the Alternative Music Draft as a playoff guideline, so the first round will get the participant number from 10 villains to 8 before they will face the heroes...

Edward Brock joins my team, completely ravaged by an alien symbiote. Lets gets this straight now. Venom is controlled by rage and a NEED for revenge, and he is not the little pansy that Topher Grace made him out to be in the movie.

The first and most famous Venom, Eddie Brock, was a reporter for the Daily Bugle before he fabricated a story revealing the identity of the Sin-Eater. Shortly after the story was published Spider-Man caught the real Sin-Eater, and Brock was disgraced as a news reporter, costing him his job and then his wife. Now writing for cheap gossip magazines, Brock centers the frustration of his life on utter loathing of Spider-Man, which only escalates when it is revealed he has cancer. In response, Brock begins working out, bringing his body to a higher performance. Unable to cope with his misfortune, Brock contemplates suicide and goes to a church to pray for forgiveness. Meanwhile, the symbiote, having recovered and needing another human host in order to survive, finds itself psychically attracted to Brock for both his increased adrenaline and mutual hatred for Spider-Man.

Together they formed into the first version of the dark, villainous creature known as Venom. This name originally applied to Brock, over the symbiote. But over the years as the symbiote itself lent toward more intelligence and moved to additional human hosts, the name began to apply to the symbiote as well as its hosts. Brock as Venom fought Spider-Man many times, and came close to winning on several occasions. As well as helping Eddie to seek continued revenge against Spider-Man, the symbiote also allowed him to indulge in a sporadic career as a vigilante. Eddie and the symbiote both share, at times, a desire to protect innocent people from all harm, even if it means working side-by-side with the hated Spider-Man.

If nothing else, I am going to greatly expand my knowledge of useless information following this draft. :p Really, I know next to nothing about superhearoes and villians other than a few comics as a youth and modern movies, hence the reason I didn't participate. Venom I know, the other two I didn't. :o And i have no tolerance for all the alternate timelines, parallel universes, etc., hence the reason I don't get into all this at all.

These threads, however, are going to be a lot of fun to follow.

As am I. Had hopes of recruiting you, Brick and Slim for the devilishly creative selections that trio would produce.

Still time methinks. Could easily attach more participants to either draft until the end of round 1.

Though not evil per say, Death is typically thought of negatively in the western world, and has been cast as a villain in several forms. Marvel created a cosmic character in the Infinity Gauntlet Saga called Death who was worshiped by Thanos as a destructive god. Death interacted with Galactus in a cosmic pantheon and was said to be as powerful as any in patheon. Ironically enough, this character could assume any form, but typically chose that of a humanoid woman to play with those mortals she found amusing…

Thoughout the years death has taken many forms in mythology…The black plague scare in the middle ages portrayed death religiously as the character who came to collect your soul at the end of life. This spawned characterizations of a Grim Reaper, cloaked and armed with a harvesting scythe to cut the threads of life and gather souls for their passing beyond. In some cases, the Grim Reaper is able to actually cause the victim's death, leading to tales that he can be bribed, tricked, or outwitted in order to retain one's life.

So, as all mortals fear death, (and any good villain will tell you that fear = power) I thought this would be an excellent place to begin my villainous group:).

Powers and Abilities:
As a cosmic concept and member of the essential Trinity, Death possesses the power to achieve virtually any effect. Being an abstract entity, Death has no physical body, but usually appears in a female humanoid form or as a cloaked skeleton so it can be perceived by lesser beings. The relationship between Death and Earth's Death gods (such as Hela in the Earth-616 universe) has yet to be revealed. Death resides inside a pocket dimension known as the Realm of Death, which also houses the Infinity Well, which contains the knowledge of the universe.

So, are you taking the Marvel Character death?
 
I had assumed from the picture that you were taking the western personification of Death in the form of The Grim Reaper. Which is technically a gray area, but I think in the spirit of the draft.

Still, could you be specific considering you mention both in your write up.

This seems a bit too vague... you should have to commit to a version... I mean, death, more than anything is a concept and not necessarily an evil one; just part of living. Could I take "Devil" and say it refers to all devils? Seems outside the idea of picking characters.
