Just saw this today, and thought it would be humorously pertinent to my first pick.

So how exactly is one supposed to go about voting on how one guy's super dooper power megagod is going to match up with another super dooper pooper megagod? Despite a funny image I have in my mind of a bunch of geeks arguing who's megagod is the megagoddest ("I'm indestructible!" "Na-uh! I'm indestructibler!") They are all so far beyond heroes or villains ( in fact this one I guess defeated all of the heroes on Earth simultaneously) I can't even imagine how to construct a vote.
As we've mentioned, to tone down the nerdlinger arguements a tad, offically we're not being rated on who would win in a mano y mano fight, but how the group works as a cohesive unit to accomplish the mastermind's evil plan of world domination and/or destruction. And when facing the superheroes, how likely they would be to thwart that plan.
However, that's simply a loose guideline. Voting will come down to what ever critieria each individual voters comes up with him or herself. If he or she wants to vote for the "coolest" villains, fine. In either case, a character like Venom can compete with the likes of omnipotent beings like Galactus and Anti-Monitor.

Only 10 people? That's a low enough number tempting me to want to join. But Venom is already gone and that would have been my pick (taken by venom_7 no surprise). You know in the comics Eddie Brock almost dies of cancer but somehow became the Anti Venom. The other Spider Man villian Scorpion has been the black suit Venom for years now, but I'm guessing since you read Venom's wikipedia page just like I just did you already knew that.
Last summer I spent a lot of lazy hot afternoons reading Marvel and DC wikipedia pages (what a waste of time), lots to get confused about with all the crazy story lines (like the Marvel comics cutting down all the mutant super heroes down to like 120 and also having Tony Stark and the US government creating an initiative to get all super heroes to register their identities). I don't remember these deep story lines when I was little but I guess it was because I was buying the comics on how cool they looked instead

There is room in both the hero and villain drafts if you want in. By all means.

I don't want to participate bad enough to risk throwing things off kilter or creating odd numbers, but if other people start joining and it's possible for me to wiggle in... in spite of my (likely smart) determination to stay away, I'll go for it. Much like the video game draft, which I joined late, I just can't read this one without thinking of a million potential draftees.

Additionally, G3 and Mad D are welcome to be added to either draft (we'd perfer both, but it's up to them). Really hoping we can stretch both to 16 if possible to make the grand finale even more worth it.

OK everyone, I've PM'd Spike and made the unilateral decision to put the draft on a brief pause until we get the new recruits status squared away.
As far as I'm concerned, G3 and Mad D are officially in both drafts (check with Jespher for comfirmation with the heroes). Welcome.
atxrocker is herby added to this draft too. We'd like it if you went into both, but if you just want this one, that's cool. Let me know. *OOPS, didn't see that you were still deciding.*
Taking Brick up on his offer to join both. Way to fall on the sword. Besides, the villains draft wouldn't be complete without the evil bat-weilding dog.
With the above additions it puts the Villains at 14 and Heroes at 13 (without atxrocker in both)
Proph and GeraldWallace in the heroes and NoBonus and tradepeja in the villains are welcome to join the other draft or stay in only one. Just let us know.
And once the dust settles, if we're still short the 16, we'll take whoever else still would like to join. I'll run a randomizer for the draft order of the new recruits once we're filled out.
