some stuff i got from real gm, garcia, artest notes

One guy said that Peter Vescey reported that the kings offered the bucks ron artest for michael redd, i dont like the trade, dont even know of its true, dont kill the messanger but has anyone esle herd anything?

He also said that garcia is getting attention around the league, kings are looking to trade him for a big.

last note, prob an obvious one cause it was in the bee but i havent seen anyone talk about it.. but the knicks have put together a few deals for ron including balkman but no lee, the kings want lee and robertson.

I also heard it over that site but in couple of days the rumor died,They say Vescey is'nt reliable because his some kind of a moron.

As for Garcia being showcased,I just hope it gets us a young big (which probably is impossible) lets say like a.......Tyrus thomas ;)

The Knicks rumors for a long time now has still been a rumor, the good thing though is that Petrie if ever he was the one who said that made a statement that if the Knicks would want a trade they should start with that kind of an offer.

only of he agrees to change the last name

I like Redd but not at an average of 16 mil per year for the next 4 seasons. I'll pass.

Redd would have little value to us given Kevin. But it would be a great save talentwise, and you would have an asset that even at that $$ figure you could turn around and trade for something nifty without too much trouble.

Ron wants that sort of cash next year. I'd rather not see the talent bleed. If you get Redd, you can afford to move Kevin for some nice players.

I think the idea of Garcia for a big is worth pursuing. He is a talented multi-position guy stuck on the third string at each position. If Artest, Salmons or Bibby were traded, then I would say keep Garcia, but if they are not, pull the trigger.

Problem wiht that is that Cisco can't bring you back anybody worth having. He has some value now, but in the world of NBA value, not really that much. Certianly less than any of the other little guys except maybe Beno. So yeah, you dangle Cisco for abig. But the big you get back isn't going to be a difference maker. You can bring back maybe another Mikki level guy. But then again, so what? What's the point of that?

Not that I am offended if it happens. Just that I don't think it really helps us much, and is a misuse of resources given that off the bench Cisco is as effective as several of the better players ahead of him who might bring back more in trade.

I feel like a lot of our problems could be solved if we found a way to get justin more minutes AND (MOST IMPORTANTLY) he learned to make his damn free throws!!! Williams is a young big we all dream of who is athletic, challenges/blocks shots, rebounds really well and brings some energy off the bench! If this kid could make his FT's he would be a huge addition without subtraction to our rotation. This team could be really deep again when/if our starters return healthy and then you have a bench mob of Salmons/Beno/Garcia/Hawes/Williams/Douby. The Kings have a lot of talent but have bit by the injury bug very very hard!

Vescey has made one prediction in the past 15 years that actually came to be, and that was 6 months before it actually happened: picking Gary St Jean as Kings coach in the early 90's. Otherwise, his he sells papers in New York City. Notice he is not very visible in the past year? There's a reason: he doesn't sell papers outside of NY and disaster that is MSG.

There is an old adage I learned many years ago: Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.
