Thebeet and Fresenko both waived today. Would think one of the is step above Hollins? or ....?

Frankly, I get the feeling we both like Hollins and intentionally targeted him for lockerroom/team culture reasons.

That and he provides cheap and relatively rim protection - something PDA stated the team needed. He doesn't give the Kings nearly enough interior defense since he's not going to see the floor for more than 10 minutes a game or so (barring injury) but at least there's that.

Fesenko is a much better player that Thabeet (low bar there) but I don't think he's an upgrade from Hollins. Especially for the way this team is being constructed.

Unless they are underiszed and play PF as Kings fan im not interested

James probably has better tools to work with, but his problem is that he's 29 years old, and only has two years of NBA experience. Wouldn't mind giving him a shot, but he doesn't fall into the catagory of long range potential. If your going to go through the exercise of replacing Hollins, I think you'd want a significant upgrade. I don't think either Thabeet or Fesenko is, so why bother?

If Hollins is going to actually be our backup center, I see little point in bringing in a Thabeet or Fesenko. But the question isn't in my mind is Fesenko an upgrade over Hollins as apparently Malone thinks our backup center is Reggie Evans. The question is, is a guy like Fesenko an upgrade over Reggie as a backup center?

Would I take a 7'1" Fesenko with NBA experience under Jerry Sloan who looks to be in decent shape over Reggie as Cuz's backup? Every day of the week. Of course, non of this would be a discussion if PDA valued big-man defenders and didn't gift wrap Lopez to Portland.

Who knows though, with this sick fascination with smallball, Malone might think Reggie is a better backup center than Fesenko and a host of other guys who actually play the position, making it a moot point.

Both in my opinion are not worth a penny but if I had to choose it would definitely be Fresenko, Thabeet has the length but that's pretty much all he got, he has no game and also very clumsy.
