So who makes final roster?

According to reports there's a team in the West trying (discussing) to sign one Larry Sanders to me a bat poopoo crazy Sanders>>>>>>>>>Moreland/Acy. Larry playing 10-20mins a game would give us the most insane interior defense in the NBA by a massive margin.

I think Cuz/Larry were close during some Team USA stuff so.........maybe? I would not mind going for more risk if the reward is your 4th big is a former elite defender coming back into shape.

Is he though? I mean sure, on talent. Although probably for the first time in the history of the franchise we actually already have a lot of what he brings. But we are shy 1 big, and if he were the 4th...what is that? GOAT defensive frontcourt rotation?

Thing is though, the guy is a loser. He just flat quit basketball only a year ago. Just walked away. Over weed. And he appears to really have a problem there. If we were a well established elite team was a stable lockerroom and leadership it would be one thing. But with half the prognositicators predicting we're already going to implode, we go out and add another log of crazy to the fire? Where is the evidence we would be signing a dedicated and focused professional rather than an idiot who suddenly realized how badly he ****ed up between bong hits?

It's a make or break season so really I would want as much talent as possible and if there is any inclination that he wants to come back and work hard to play again I would take him over our 4th big everytime. I don't really see how he could implode the team when he's playing limited time and would be the 4th big (which with the starting SG position is easily our biggest weakness). who would not be getting any big money or anything. If he messes around than Acy is back to being the 4th big and the Kings let him go. Plus we got vets now like Rudy, Caron and Belli, DC and even someone like Casspi and Acy to keep things cool if they look like they will get out of hand.

I don't really think it's fair to call someone a loser when we don't really know anything about there mind state and issues which have lead them to the path they are on...It would not be the first time a athlete for various reasons quit and came back to a sport and had some success.

This is obviously a long shot and the reports might not even be all that accurate but I'm saying if there is any chance we need a 4th big and I would be somewhat willing to risk it.

I thought it was depression and anxiety. If so, it's completely different than say michael Beasley.

People use weed to deal with depression and anxiety and really there is very little evidence other than the propaganda campaign that was used a while back against weed (oil from it has been used to treat cancers) that it's harmful but yet things like alcohol and cigarettes are legal (but that I guess is a separate issue). Beasley was somewhat productive last year for the Heat he had a couple nice moments but Beasley is different in that he does not play D and takes horrible shots.

No need to bring in a risk like Larry Sanders and hope he can play to his potential....over bloated contract for a guy, that although talented, has not been worth the contract.

Didn't he get bought out? Which means we can offer him like a minimum contract? I thought it was the same thing the Pistons did to Smoove or something similar last year. I would only want to sign him if it's minimum pay.
Larry Sanders' roller coaster stint in Milwaukee finally came to an end. Sanders and the Bucks agreed to a buyout that will erase the three-plus years remaining on his contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. According to Wojnarowski, Sanders will "leave with approximately half" of the $44 million extension he signed with the Bucks

While the buyout makes Sanders a free agent,

Its an excuse whatever it is.

Guy is flat out mentally weak. Not just a little weak. Its hard to see how in one year's time such a fool could have advanced so far in wisdom that he was no longer going to be a distraction.

Larry Sanders will never be a good basketball player again. I'd bet on it. He was a fringe player at best. Had all the tools, started to put them together and then just completely threw it all out the window. Guys like him that leave and then come back are normally a shell of their former selves.

This isn't like Ricky Williams who was the #1 pick, had all the talent in the world, became one of the best RB's in football and then left it all go to play hippie for a year or two. When Ricky came back he was a shell of his former self but his former self was so good that he was still a decent RB for a few years. Sanders was never even close to that.

Oh I agree he shouldn't be playing bball. That said I wouldn't say it's just an excuse or disparage him personally by calling him weak.

I'm still not entirely happy with our depth at PF/C. It's a hell lot better than last year, but I feel like we're missing one more solid guy. I'm not entirely comfortable with Acy nor Moreland.

PG- Rondo/Collison/Curry
SG- McLemore/Belinelli/Anderson
SF- Gay/Casspi/Butler
PF- Cousins/Acy/Dukan
C- WCS/Kofus/Moreland

Inactive:
Dukan
Moreland/Curry ( one of them..if not both).

Anderson if we decide to deactivate only 1 of those guys.

Based on watching him before he left for across seas, then watching him in Summer and using Karl's own quotes, I consider him solid. Just my opinion.
But that's all he'll ever be. Just there, not hurting, not helping, runs the plays, stays ot of the way. Nothing special.

All things considered I go with the young guy with upside who actually put up basically the same numbers as Anderson when he started for a 19 win philly team 64 times.

If clauses could be put into his contract so he gets the help he needs sign him up. He also would need to be tested regularly to make sure he has given up the substance abuse. A straight Larry Sanders would be a pretty good 4th Big.

So Jason from bee article today says after cutting Henderson And Hunter we have 15 on the roster 13 guaranteed contracts and if moreland makes the team there is 14 contract

I count 13 contracts with dukan stockton and moreland on the bubble make the roster at 16 total. And i thought dukan was guar for 1st year. So who cannot count?

Rondo/Collison/Curry/(Stockton)
McLemore/Belinelli/Anderson
Gay/Casspi/Butler
Cauley-Stein/Acy/Dukan
Cousins/Koufos/(Moreland)

That's 16, with as far as I can tell only two unguaranteed. Dukan appears to be guaranteed.

Dukan and Stockton are not and never were NBA players. Even if we have to pay them they are just there to match contracts in a trade. Pretty much 14 with Moreland showing well. Anybody else could be dropped a t a moment's notice if something better came up.

With morelands play in the laker game I am sure some teams might raise an eyebrow and make some offers later on. I'd be willing to say we need to hang on to him for a few years. Maybe 2 years down the road we have a problem we have never had which is 4 bigs that all deserve big min. Then you test the waters of trade value and fix any other hole you might have

When I was watching the Lakers broadcast the other night their announcers offered some insight into Dukan. He was born in Croatia but moved to the US when he was 10 months old. His Dad played in Europe and knows Vlade.

Here is a tidbit from Wikipedia: His father, Ivica Dukan, played basketball professionally in Europe for 15 years and is now an international basketball scout for the Chicago Bulls.

And finally here is a link to a nice article from Sactown Royalty titled "5 Things You Didn't Know About Duje Dukan"---> http://www.sactownroyalty.com/2015/9/2/9222675/5-things-you-didnt-know-about-duje-dukan

Well anyway Jason didnt even bother to look at the Kings website to see we have 16 on the Roster
Dukan is the 14th guaranteed contract IMHO Moreland will be the 15th and Stockton will be cut making the final roster at 15

Acy is basically a waste of a roster spot. He doesn't do any one thing good, let alone well.

I don't know, he's very supportive of his teammates from the bench. His bench game elite. I'd venture to say, top 5 in the league. On par with the greats like Mark Madsen.
