I share your hope about Brown and Fox. If anything, the current roster is going to put even more pressure on Fox to step up his defensive game. He absolutely cannot play at the same level defensively if the Kings have any chance of getting to the playoffs.We've heard the chant of the importance of defense over the years, but seen no results. The proof is going to be in the W/L columns. I don't think there's any way the Kings can get into the playoffs without taking a huge step up in defense from last year. The idea of outscoring opponents despite a poor defense is usually what you see from losing teams.
