Tho' the Kings are winless so far several of the rookies are showing their stuff in the overall stats of the league. Tyreke is 3rd overall in scoring at 24.3 and Brockman is 7th in rebounding at 9.0. Other Kings stat info:

Evans 24.3 ppg 7.7 reb 4.9 ast 43.5% FG
Brockman 4.7 ppg 9.0 reb 43 % FT (24.9 reb/48min!!!)
JT 13.7 ppg 4.3 reb 8.0 fouls per game 4.0 TO's
Greene 8.3 ppg 6.7 reb 61% FT
Landry 11.7 ppg 4.7 reb 48% FG, 4/4 FT, played 4 more min than Greene

JT seems out of place at the 5 and has yet to get his rhythm in any of the first 3 games. Greene is, well also looking for his rhythm. Brockman is fitting in very nicely but is a horrible FT shooter. In 3 games other than McNeal, no other King has more than 3 steals in 3 games. And Tyreke is starting to remind me of the "Big O", Oscar Robertson. More on that later.

Hey! I started the Big O comparisons!

I really hope that JT just doesn't care about the summer league, or this slump is becoming pretty scary. Did he put on too much muscle? Not comfortable with his game anymore? Or just having a bad week? I don't know what is wrong with him, but he better pick his game up by the time the season starts.

And I've been very impressed with Evans. I've seen a lot of good passes that opened his teammates up, but they have been failing to finish the baskets. I think once he is playing with the higher quality players in a more competitive environment, his assists will pick up. And I really think he has a chance to becoming a decent point guard in the sense of creating shots and distributing the ball. Add that to his insane penetrating ability and I think we have an EXTREMELY interesting prospect.

I think JT's slump has to be partly due to playing out of position. He may need to develop his game to play some minutes here and there at the 5, but I don't think its comfortable for him right now.

I was worried too until I saw that he was playing at the 5 ... and remembered it's summer league and Hawes isn't there.

Don't know if these have been posted, but here's a few summer league recaps of interest from ESPN.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about Jasons rebounding, but I say, what's the problem? We're killing teams on the boards! If we were getting killed every game and he was grabbing 5 boards there might be cause for concern, but there are only so many rebounds to get and with Evans and Brockman dominating most games I think it becomes clear. The Brockman effect (see Spencer Hawes in college) is being multiplied by the Evans effect. The end result, no boards for the big man! ;)

If your 6'11" starting PF from last season is actually losing rebounds to 6'7" scrubs and PGs, then yes, you SHOULD be worried.

However I ratehr choose to view it as an aberration centered around him not being ready to paly summer league. If he grabs 5 a game during the regular season, then we have a problem and should have traded him while he sitll had value.

Thanks, sorry about that. My limited access does not always allow me to examine past posts in full.

Ok, now I know you are in California where they may have had to sell the local internet to North Korean interests just to generate money to keep the lights on this week, but did San Diego get traded to a 3rd world country for debt relief or something? How can you not have internet service?

I think he was referring to not coming on here that often.

No, he mentioned in one of the other threads that somehow he has permanently lost his internet at home. Just curious how that comes about (and hopeful its not excessive financial distress in the currrent market).
