Anybody have any thoughts about his future after this season?

Do we offer him a deal as sort of a backup 4 or 5? I admit he had a rocky start to the year, but I give him credit he's had a couple nice solid games this year. He's still young too and coming off injury problems, but he's got a consistent jumper and is a nice passer. He hasn't shown much this year to actually warrant a crazy contract from anybody, but of the enders we got I think he is only one that deserves a second look.

Re sign him? Let him Walk? Don't Care much for himm?

Let him walk.

This is what is wrong with this team and some of the fans. We see a big with a nice jumper and a little bit of passing, then we get fooled into signing that big. Then suddenly we realized that is not what the team needs in our BIGS and starts with the never-ending complaints of our bigs being unable to get rebounds and unable to defend and block shots and blah-blah-blah.

We need a defensive BIG who will act BIG inside the paint and not outside the paint. May is a big who loves shooting outside and eats tons of donuts. Not the kind of 4 or 5 who can help this team.

I'll take a 6' 0" version of Landry to play back-up at the 4 or 5, but not an outside operator fat player who loves to operate outside.

Not only do I suspect we're going to let him walk, I suspect he may well be done in the NBA now and be off to Europe. He was clinging to bare life when he signed a minimum deal with us. And he's responded by averaging 3ppg. He and Hilton can maybe go share an apartment in Greece or something, because 3ppg lottery busts are going to have trouble getting more than camp invites in the NBA.

He doesn't resemble anything that this team is looking for in the way of toughness. He definitely can score a little. But he's not a good rebounder, nor a defender thats going to scare anyone. I don't see him diving on the floor for loose balls on a regualr basis. Last night we got killed on the boards when he was in the game. Hawes didn't help much either, but at least he's 7 feet tall. Thompson, with all his faults, is our best rebounder. And his absence was felt last night.

Nope, let him walk. We need another full size big that's tough and plays D. We've got our offensive PF in Landry and we've got our undersized PFs covered in Brock and Dorsey. He just doesn't fit long term IMO. We'll likely be drafting a 4/5 as well.

Whatever. He's a capable big man who can knock down the 15-20 footer consistently. He'll latch on somewhere as a vet min big for a contender type and be a nice added bonus deep down the bench. He has a place in the league, it's just not as big as he is.

We have no need for him. Out of Dorsey, Brockman, and May I bet we only keep one of them. I would take Dorsey and Brockman over may hands down. And Brockman over Dorsey.
