Boston has tons of young athletic talent that they struggle to find minutes for because they're a contending team, and I would definitely be glad if Noc was traded for some package variation involving Tony Allen and/or Bill Walker. That being said, I'm sort of skeptical if Ainge would pull this off--for one, they're really getting older after adding Sheed this year, and trading young talent for a guy who's no spring chicken would mean that they're putting all their eggs in one basket. But on the other hand he seems to be aggressively trying to trim his roster by shopping Tony Allen in particular. Perkins won't be traded--he's their only player with a combination of size and strength. I would trade Noc for Tony Allen, Brian Scalabrine, and insist that Bill Walker be in the deal as well--it gives us an insurgence of athleticism and perimeter defensive potential, and the contracts are pretty cheap as well. Ainge does this deal for a James Posey-like backup and to clear roster space, and to go all in.
