Of those currently shown on the Kings' roster, how many are under contract and who are they. Thanks. Not looking for dollars, just people.

Never mind. I looked again at the roster and answered my own question.

15 on the roster an 4 are listed as FA - Evans, Aldrych, Douglas and Johnson. 11 are under contract.

10 are under contract and we can have as many as 15 although I doubt that 15 is our goal. Just a guess.

hoopshype is a rather...suboptimal source for salary info. seen it used a couple of time in last night's monster thread and I'd strongly encourage everybody still using it to switch over to shamsports:

Deeks (the author) basically never gets anything wrong and if, then it's minute details and he fixes them quickly. him and Larry Coon are probably the two most knowledgeable people as far as the CBA go that aren't on a team's payroll.

I'll switch. It seems so far to be the same as HoopsHype. To correct ShamSports, or at least to bring it up to date, we didn't offer a qualifying offer to Douglas or JJ and we didn't pick up Aldrich's option.

Suboptimal or ****ty? :)

BTW, as a on-basketballl player who started out as simply a fan, the only way I learn is from people smarter than I. I hope then to accumaulate a mass of knowledge that I can use by integrating all of it into something startling and educational. If he is in the same category as Coon, that's remarkable as I think all the media use Coon as a reference point.

he'll usually update once relevant things happen and he's sure about the numbers, so it might take Tyreke signing a new contract for changes to be reflected, or for any other kind of roster movement. as far as the educational thing goes: I'd strongly encourage you to look at his blog, specifically the creative financing posts. he doesn't update regularly, but the stuff he does is usually brilliant. you can find his takes on more up-to-date things at the Basketball Jones blog. here's his post on the Bucks-Clips-Suns deal from yesterday, for instance: Have a plan: On the Clippers-Suns-Bucks trade | The Basketball Jones | Blogs | theScore.com

as far as the suboptimal or ****ty thing goes, let's just say I've seen them getting things wrong far too often as to consider them a reliable source.

I have several web sites and updating is an issue with all three. Usually I update when something significant happens and then I kind of clean house and catch up on other out-of-date info. In this case, I presume when or if anything happens with Tyreke, the rest will be changed. It is VERY difficult to be up-to-date.

I'll check the rest of the web site. Sounds good. Maybe I'll know something some day.
