Good news. I guess this means Luther has a legit shot at taking the last roster spot. I don't know if I like that very much, but we will see what happens.

I'm sure that Petrie has his eye on the waiver wire, in case someone of interest is waived. I wouldn't say its a slam dunk just yet, but it certainly bodes well for both Jackson and Head. Obviously Westphal had him mind made up about M. Landry some time ago, since he didn't play in the last two games. Too bad. I had a little hope for him.

Kings desperately need outside shooting and defensive role players. They have nothing of the sort on the current roster. Nobody who can come in and drain three trips in a row... or someone who can come in, make some hustle plays, and get some boards. The team is now comprised of a bunch of players who think they are a lot better then they currently are.

I hate to rain on your parade but we now have three guys off of the bench who do that (Thompson, Jackson, Whiteside [whenever he gets healthy])

How in the world do you let your kid get stuck with a nickname like "Pooh?" Family tradition? I never quite understood "Fat" either. A friend has a brother with that nickname. And don't get me started on "Bubba." Every time I hear that one, in my head is "Bubba" gum.

So Right now it appears that the 13,14th players on the roster will be Head and Jackson

Since Head was an invitee I guess he would have to be signed to a 1 year contract before the start of the season? Once that is done I guess we would be stuck with him the whole season as 13th player (makes the team minimum)

Darnell Jackson seems to have made team as the 4th big due to sammy and Whiteside injuries, but when all 5 bigs are healthy I dont see Darnell getting any time or even being on the 12 man active roster

Darnell already has a contract but it is non-guarenteed for this season, so my question is at what date will his contract for the year be guarenteed? At start of season? some date in Oct or Dec?
