Now, I'm not one for making new threads, nor am I one to advocate the signing of any of these two guys, but the reason I do bring this up is that both of these two players have been pretty prominent in the past.
Today, Flip Murray (Pistons) and Jamaal Magloire (Nets) were waived today. Magloire actually was an all-star in 2004 (sad how far he's fallen) and he's basically a big earthbound body with a semidecent offensive game, although his work ethic has to be severely questioned because he couldn't even pry minutes from Jason Collins of all people. Flip Murray had a breakout season in Chicago but really struggles as a role player when he doesn't have the ball as much, but can provide some volume scoring punch with his ever so streaky shot and slashing skills.
Now, I don't want to take away minutes from Shelden, but Jamaal Magloire has the credentials to perhaps warrant a look, although I don't think we shall go any further than that because his work ethic seems horrible. But I'm wondering what your opinions about him are, whether you differ from my POV, etc. Likewise, I don't want Murray to supplant Douby and/or Salmons, but he does have scoring talent, has played for a winning team (like Beno w/ SA), and can merit consideration as well. Thoughts?
