Rockets @ Kings Game Thread - 11/13/09

if were going to attack i expect this back court beno and evans for defense id like to see a udoka evans back court and a casspi noc front court
 
Jon picked up his parents at the airport today. They (the Brockmans) will me making their 1st visit to ARCO. 1st. I hope he gets some minutes. 2nd. Let's show em how ARCO can be loud and proud for the boys. :)
 
I'd love for Brockness to get some minutes.

It has to be a matter of defense though. KT is actually pretty scrappy in that regard, despite his undersizedness. But still. He's gone after this summer (wouldnt it be hilarious if we resigned him for like, the vet minimum though)....Lets let Brockness smash fools.

For the night this alleged defense Keny gets accused of won't really matter though -- the Rockets have been ruined by injuries and defections, and while they are still winning with smoke, mirrors, and the current COY frontrunner, they have absolutely no inside game at all. Would be a night when you could afford to put a stubby 6'7" rookie out on the floor and know that he would actually look down on the opposing team's center.

Maybe if we make a huge trade here, fairly early in the season while it will still make a big impact on the overall record. But you have to remember right now we are going through the softest part of our entire schedule -- mostly home games against weak teams. There are months ahead when it will likely be a nightly smackdown from the Lakers, Celtics, Magic etc.

Normally I would agree but, there are teams that were better than us last year that are worse than us this year. Golden State, Memphis, Minnesota, Clippers, Houston is without their core, New Orleans seems like they may have a meltdown. OKC is about even with us i'd say. thats over 20 of our games right there. Then you got NJ, NY, Was, beneath us i'd say then the evens Philly, Char, Indy, and Detroit isn't looking good. thats another 14 games. I don't know Brick I know its a 25 gamde turnaround but of our games last season how many do you think we gave our full heart and hustle?

I'd have to say we COULD do it.

that leaves Houston, Utah, OKC, and the kings to fight for the last 2 positions.
 
but houston, utah and okc play those other bad teams just as many times as we do. the knicks and nets are horrible but everyone plays them. we would have to win the season series with those three teams to take one of their spots. thats where it gets tricky, we wont be winning our division. at best we will be 3rd after the lakers and suns.

we would have to sweep the grizzlies, warriors, clippers and twolves... and spilt it with everyone else... we still play the spurs, mavs, lakers and the rest of the top west teams. they will more than likely beat us more times than not.

to have that kinda turnaround we would have to be a dominant team, not just better than the other scrubs...
 
Would I be correct to assume the game starts in about 45 minutes? Might stay up for this one as I haven't been fortunate enough to see 'Reke and co. live yet.
 
battier ran right by hawes... ariza is looking like a all-star against the kings... its like joe johnson all over again. teams are under estimating some of these role players...
 
oh snap they do still have local commercials... score... ive been changing the channels since they werent showing them during the preseason. league pass rocks, they show home and away broadcasts... so i can listen to either teams annoucers...

we are doing a pretty good job of rebounding...
 
evans with a dunk, i take it back... he can dunk. it wasnt a highlight reel dunk but it was a dunk. i apologize to all of the kings fans that i offended.

so this is why vf21 has so many posts... those old pbp days add up.
 
is it just me or does lowry look just like the rapper mase? hawes with the block, why didnt they call that foul on evans, he low key tackled ariza...
