Reke playing in Manilla

No Balut. Please no Balut.

Lol, what's the name of that blood soup? My Filipino friends have brought it before and said they have tried it.

Hey, it's not bad. Just don't look at it before the first bite.

\

My sis-in-law loves it and what's not to like about an egg with a little tender duck fetus?

Frankly I'd stick with pancit.
Just give me a San Magoo and I'll be just fine. I'll pass on the balut.

I like that Reke is participating. As much as I hate Kobe, I'm hoping Reke can pick up on some of that work ethic. Also, I wouldn't mind if Reke tries to recruit DeAndre Jordan to the Kings while he's there.

Consider it lucky if Kobe does not try to recruit Reke to the Lakers as his successor.

This is Great news! i probably won't be able to watch it.. ill be in school or whatever.. and tickets are selling like crazy.

Reke ought to try Kare kare, adobo, and dinuguan with Puto (can't go wrong with that combination)

Never had dinuguan. Perhaps the people of Leyte are more civilized than the rest. :) Sounds hideous although the basic ingredient is eaten or drank all over the world. Never heard of the other two. Kare kare and puto sound great. Really now, is Leyte that different? Perhaps.

Kare-kare is peanut stew with oxtail.. would go well with deepfried pork knucke, puto on the other hand is a form of rice cake.

Reke is going to be doing his sick handles in this game.

leyte is an island in the visayas region, and stranger things can happen in that region ;)

My wife is from Leyte. I have spent a lot of time there.
Leyte is my hometown, Glenn. Great to know that you've spent a lot time there.
Dinuguan is actually a known delicacy in Leyte too.
If you happen to visit there again I can give you some tips where to get a good one. Or in most cases you can actually go straight to slaughter houses where fresh blood is made "dinuguan" right after the pig is slaughtered. If you can stomach the scene. ;)

"Tuba" or the coconut red wine comes best from Leyte and would be a good pair with dinuguan, grilled fish, or lechon(roasted pork).

I really love to watch but the tickets are sold out. :(
Dude, I know why the tickets are sold out. It's an effin joke. ONLY the general admission tickets were actually released. Tickets were first released yesterday (the 17th) but all but the gen ad tickets were sold out. According to the person from SM/ticketnet, players/player relatives, and other "connected" people have already bought/reserved most if not all of the more expensive tickets even before they went on sale!

Other dudes who were there to buy tickets were pissed to find out that only general admission tickets were available.
