My prayers are with Abagail, hoopsie...

Aenadin - My prayers are with you and your whole family. And I want you to know that based on what I read in your posts, I think your dad would be very proud of you. I think he did his job very well and you, as both a man and a father, will honor his memory.

They found a lump, in my grandmother's biopsy. I'm very angry right now and think I need to take a break from my life. I'm not liking life right now.

At least they've found something to possibly explain the problems she's been having. That's a good thing, isn't it? She's still in my prayers...and hang in there, D. What they can find has a much better chance of being cured than not knowing.

Aenadin: Thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my father when I was 19 yrs old on June 15th. It was 26 yrs ago. My Dad will always be a part of me and I'm sure your dad will be too.

Well...the surgeon will be calling to schedule surgery soon, as it turned out to be thyroid cancer. That's all I know right now. I just got off the phone with her 'cuz I'm still at work.

She's good...she said she had a feeling before anything was even said, so at least she prepared herself. I'll keep you all posted...thanks again for the support.

i would also like to pray for those victims of the A1H1N1 virus.. and i pray for every one to have good health... a shocker came to me this day.. my school got closed for 10 days after discovering that one student had the virus..

My prayers for Abigail, hoops. Mad D, prayers for your grandma. Aenadin-prayers of comfort for you and prayers of health for your schoolmates.

Thank you for your thoughts. My grandma raised me for a good portion of my life, and this was a tough month. She had lost a lot of weight and I had a small sick feeling in the back of my head what it was. After numerous visits to the hospital and emergency room visits it turned out to be stomach cancer. The lump was actually a mass that was the size of my fist.

She finally had surgery last week, and they removed most of her stomach. The first hour was scary because they had to do exploratory surgery first and if they found out that it spread to the kidney or liver then there was nothing that they could do. I waited at the hospital of 11 hours that day, just me my dad and my 82 year old great aunt. I must have spent at least a few hours every other day alone at the hospital waiting and worrying up until this event.

She had a majority of her stomach removed. I feel very fortunate that it is over now and I hope every one can feel the same in their own situations in this thread. She is now recovering in the hospital and I'm going to visit her later this evening.

Hoopsie: Abigail has my positive thoughts flowing her way.

Mad D: I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother's cancer. I pray she will feel better now, that she regains strength and that they got all the cancer. Recovery won't be easy, but she has loving family to help her. That's so important.

Slim: I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. No it never gets easier. You never really stop missing those you love. What I'd give to have a talk with my grandparents, mom, dad, aunts and uncles that are all gone now. But I know they loved me, too. I have that.

Please pray for my nephew, Rob, who is a member of the US Air Force. He just arrived in Afghanistan a couple of days ago for another tour of duty. This time he is in a tent with 20 other guys in the southern desert. Needless to say, with all the news out of Afghanistan these days (some of our servicemen are losing their lives), we are all very concerned.

Special prayers for Karen and Rick (my sister and brother-in-law) as they worry about their only child. :(

Just wanted to let you all know that Abagail's having her surgery for thyroid cancer tomorrow at 1:00. I'll be off til Thursday to help her out.

I want to thank those that have sent prayers and good thoughts her way. I appreciate it. :)

Blessings for Rob and his parents, 6th. I think about all our troops every day.

I'll be keeping positive thought in my heart for Abagail, Hoopsie.

Got home tonight around 10 pm. She's in a lot of pain, but, if everything checks out ok, should be able to come home tomorrow.

Thanks so much. As VF would say...You guys rock!

Many people are having a tough time and need our prayers. I am going to cut and paste an email I just got from my sister about my grandnephew.

"Please add my grandson, Kyas to your prayers. He has developed a growth on his eye between his eyelid and eyebrow that has grown over the last few weeks. They have scheduled surgery for next Wednesday (7/15) to remove and do a biopsy.

He’s 4 years old and we just ask that you pray for him to have strength through the next week and through surgery and recovery and that the tests have good results.

Thanks for your help and if you can ask others to join in the prayers, that would be great."

prayers for your grandnephew, 6th.

Alex just called me on his way to the ER from youth camp. Apparently he wiped out during a bike ride and his stomach is hurting really badly. Please pray there is nothing seriously wrong. I hate not being there.

My prayers are with you (and of course with Alex).

update from Alex: they've been triaged but not called back to be seen. No xrays for him, so probably not too bad. He's not hurting as much as he was but still hurts. He figures they might give him pain pills and be done.

Apparently he and one of the youth leaders were coming back down the bike trail and hit a bump, lost control, couldn't brake and ran into a wall. The bike he was riding jammed against his stomach pretty hard.
