Pick Your Favorite Lineup

#1
I have seen many different ideas for what we should do this offseason which resulted in a lot of different lineups that we could go with. I wanted to throw out all the different lineups I have seen on this forum in one post and have us vote on the one we think is best and then explain why you think that one is the best.

A.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Kirilenko
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

B.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Prince
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

C.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Battier
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

D.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Kirilenko
PF – Favors
C – Cousins

E.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Prince
PF – Favors
C – Cousins

F.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Battier
PF – Favors
C – Cousins

G.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – D. Williams
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

H.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Batum
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

I.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Granger
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

J.
PG – Evans
SG – Thornton
SF – Iguodala
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

K.
PG – Evans
SG – Iguodala
SF – Granger
PF – Cousins
C – Dalembert

I could make an argument foreach of these lineups showing it is realistic so please do not try to debate whether any of these lineups are unrealistic. This thread was not intended for that. I just want to get your opinion on which one would be the best fit for us (chemistry, talent, shooting, rebounding, defense, ball handling, experience, youth, salaries, etc.)

J with Derrick Williams off the bench would be my idea of a great offseason.

As I said in the other thread I'm not sure the Kings have enough pieces to trade to make K happen AND it would be the most expensive option.

My potential lineups include us getting a top 2 pick. Why is Williams included as an option but not Irving?

Irving
Reke
AK
Cousins
Dally

or...

Reke
Thornton
Williams
Cousins
Dally

If we trade the pick...

Reke
Thornton
Iggy
Cousins
Dally

Something I think is likely, with Thornton putting up 15 off the bench

Knight
Reke
AK
Cousins
Dally

All would be possible IMO. At this point, I'm not predicting a lineup based on 2-3 trades. Next tue we'll have a better idea of our options, after the lottery. Tough to speculate right now.

Somebody PM the OP with instructions on how to do a poll. I sent a note but I'm no good at it and might have just confused him. He has to start with clicking on Thread Tools and finding the option that has to do with polls. Only he can do it. I like this one and am curious what people think.

I can see I have to talk some sense into rainmaker who doesn't like Thornton in the starting lineup unless the plan is he would come off the bench and play 30 minutes. The guy is more than a shooter. Shame, shame, rainmaker and all the rest of you so deluded. :)

What I really like is that most of the options are possible and all are an improvement over this year's team. I'm happy to be a fan of this team.

Ughhhh......
As I've said before, I'm not against starting Reke/Thornton together next year. I'm just not as confident in their ability to be a fulltime backcourt as others. Thornton looks much more like a Terry/Crawford/BJax type to me. That's not a knock on him, and and all of those guys could start, or have started. Just doesn't mean that's the ideal role for them.

If they start together, I'd be fine with it. SF is definitely a more pressing need. But it's also likely we'll get a shot at Irving or Knight/Walker. Are you so confident in Thornton/Reke starting that you'd automatically dismiss getting a starting pg, and bypass the opportunity? I'm not. Right now I'm just considering our options, and it looks like we'll have opportunities to get both sf's and pg's. I'm confident in Petrie, and if he passes on the opportunity to get a pg, and goes with a sf instead, or just feels it's not a good fit, I'd be fine with it. But a guarantee Petrie is considering options at point, as am I. I'm just not ready to declare Reke/Thornton our backcourt for the next 5 years, and dismiss any other options to improve our backcourt.

Just makes out team deeper. Most of the better playoff teams have a great 6th man. Ginobili/Terry/Crawford/Odom/Mayo/Harden. You need scoring punch off the bench, and Thornton could be just as effective, if not more, than the guys I mentioned as he matures.

Love A but I am also a fan of H and J! Would be happy with either outcome.

A gives us more flexibility in the frontcourt where AK can guard stretch 4s. H would give us a very young team going forward but Batum's development appear to have stalled somewhat so thats a bit of a red flag.

With J you just about have the best combination at 1-2-3 in the league (maybe not the best but right up there). That combination gives us offense AND defense which is unreal. In AI you get one of the best defenders in the game that has proven his ability to stop the likes of Kobe, LeBron, Melo, Roy, JJ etc... That would be insanely good perimeter D.

I found where to add a poll but it limits it to only 10 options and I believe there are 11 or 12 in my post.
