Am I alone in thinking that George would be an ideal fit next to Tyreke?
He has clearly stated that he wants to play SG and he has the shooting and ballhandling to do so.
Best of all, he would prevent teams from switching their off-guard onto Tyreke on the defensive end because George has the ability to take a smaller man on the block and scoring.
I'm not necessarily advocating taking him at #5, though if Favors and Cousins (and Turner and Wall) are off the board I'd be much more okay with Petrie reaching for him or taking Johnson than drafting Monroe.
But if he's still on the board outside of the top 10 or so I would love to see Geoff be aggressive (you'd think for ONCE he would be on draft night) and trade for a second pick to nab him.
A starting backcourt of 6'6" and 6'9" would be a matchup problem EVERY night and their games compliment one another very well.
To me an ideal draft night would be Cousins at #5 and a trade for the ability to pick George. I'd give up a future first and another piece, though obviously it would depend on what that piece was.
