Without trading Mike Bibby, the Kings have to make a run for Paul Pierce. He's the only All-star that may be available other than Artest who's been discussed already. The Warriors got Baron Davis and it's paid off. Considering how bad the Kings are doing now and that they won't be in a situation where Pierce will have zero support, they need to go for it. He can rebound, play defense, play well under pressure, and he's a leader.

there is no way we get pierce without giving up a exp contract, boston is not interested in getting more money they are rebuilding. And to me we are rebuilding too we need to start giving up our big contracts for draft picks and exp contracts we need to think about the future. We are most likely going to look like por, Alt, and Tor in a few years and that is not a bad thing, in 5 to 6 years those team will be nice teams, we need just need to be patient.
And may opinion Pierce will most likely be going to houston. Unlike the kings they have the exp contracts and the draft pick to get the deal done and when healthy is a great team but just missing that third scorer. To me, the rockets will not be going any where this year they are thinking about next year and if that deal goes down and they stay healthy, they will be big time contenders.

I wouldn't mind seeing Richardson in a Kings uni at all. He could replace Peja's shooting, and if used at SG, can be a post presence as well (assuming Bonzi walks and we want to go young).

Pierce going to houston makes alot sense. All year they have struggled to score even with yao and T-mac on the floor together. A prime example of this was last year in playoff series against the mavs, that showed how badly they need another third or second opition at the 3 or 2. To go along with his rebounding and passing skills i could see pierce working out in houston.

Houston has alot of exp contracts to offer boston and houston would have to offer it's first round draft pick and make it unprotected for boston to do this deal. In my opinion rockets giving up the draft pick when they do have a bad record is a good idea because this is really a weak draft and houston is a win now then rather later kind of team so pierce is worth the draft pick. Since boston is rebuilding getting a top draft pick to go along with yours is really good for your future and plus the exp would really put the icing on the cake. I have to admit upfront that I haven't read the complete thread, so versions of this trade may already exist. If so, my apologies. It's ID# 2814956 on RealGM.com, so I know it could work, cap-wise. Whether these are the exact pieces or not, who knows? But it would definitely give the Kings a different, and perhaps improved, look.
Essentially, the Kings get Pierce, a couple of guys who can help the interior defense (and move Brad to PF, which may be his natural position), and a promising young point guard.
The Celtics get Bibby, Miles and cap filler. Why would they do it? They're going nowhere as currently constructed and Pierce is making noises about wanting out.
The Blazers, who suck already, get rid of some lousy contracts, a free look at Peja and potentially additional cap space, a decent big guy, and better character.

The first 4 is enough offense and KG, who is naturally unselfish, could thrive in a team like this. If adelman commits to playing sampson as the backup C(which I think he would have to) or we trade Kenny for one we'd be fine up front. Bibby+Wally can hit the long bombs and bonzi is a good ISO option. The offense can run through KG because he has the same skill set as basically webber does. We get MUCH better on the glass and defensively because we have 2 shotblockers in the starting lineup who can both grab boards. This covers up for bibby's weakness and teams won't want to exploit his flat footed defense as much because KG and Brian would send that garbage all the way back to new york. We don't get a new backup PG, but maybe adelman would have the sense to play Price? Kevin Martin can slide inbetween the 2 and the 3, maybe we could get rid of kenny for a tweener between the 3 and 4? I don't know but this makes our team a lot better.

If adelman commits to playing sampson as the backup C(which I think he would have to) or we trade Kenny for one we'd be fine up front. Bibby+Wally can hit the long bombs and bonzi is a good ISO option. The offense can run through KG because he has the same skill set as basically webber does. We get MUCH better on the glass and defensively because we have 2 shotblockers in the starting lineup who can both grab boards. This covers up for bibby's weakness and teams won't want to exploit his flat footed defense as much because KG and Brian would send that garbage all the way back to new york. We don't get a new backup PG, but maybe adelman would have the sense to play Price? Kevin Martin can slide inbetween the 2 and the 3, maybe we could get rid of kenny for a tweener between the 3 and 4? I don't know but this makes our team a lot better.
