Old Trade Thread (no longer need to post all trades here)

It's kind of funny but the trade I would do in a second would be Nocioni and Deng for Peja(It works) but right now I'm not even sure that Chicago would do that

What about Tskitishvili in Minnesota? He is a 7-footer, was a really good shooter but has been benched by Wolves and wants a trade.

i think they should work something out with denver, denver needs a pf/c since nene is out for the year, maybe kenny thomas for eduardo najera/vashon leonard. it seems a bit one sided, but big men are exactly floating around, then denver would have someone to play pf when kenyon martin evtually has his yearly breakdown.

They wouldn't - for them both. It'd be one or the other, I'd ultimately take Deng.

What would the Kings have to give up to get Manu Ginobili?

i honestly dont think theres a player on the kings roster that the spurs would trade for manu, regardless of salary and trade restrictions...

Doesn't matter since SA won't part with him. We don't have anyone they'd want. They don't need defenders (not that we have any to offer), they don't need shooters. Plus, they love their foreign players there.

Again, who knows what this is, but Stephan A. Smith was talking during his "A" List segment during shoot-around. Said there are trade possibilities (mentioned Peja/Artest) with Artest and that Artest isn't happy about not being a high-offensive-option in Indy. Also based on the Larry Bird quotes in papers recently. He also said, Artest wouldn't want any part of Sacramento, but would want to be in NY/Cleve/Dallas/Miami.... but he also said he hasn't talked to either Sac/Indy.

I don;t think there are many players in teh entire NBA the Spurs wqould trade Manu for.

As a general rule, you really can't propose major trades with happy elite teams coming off of championship seasons.

Gotta look for losing teams, or underacheivers -- teams which aren;t happy with their mix and need to shake it up. The Spurs...well, they likely beleive if they just stay the course they could well repeat as champions. They just aren't a potential trade partner, at least not amonsgt thier core players.

what about this:

trade peja and skinner for artest and pollard
THEN
trade KT, hart and Kevin martin for lenard and watson

then we have a line up of:
bibby/Watson/price
wells/lenard
artest/ ciso
SAR/sampson
miller/pollard

i think this is somewhat realisitc and theres a good chance the other teams will go for it.

but it also means we'll have artest and wells as a SG/SF combo - pretty scary. we'll also have watson who is a defensive pointguard that has been useful off the bench before in memphis and his contract is just as long as Kt's, then lenard gives us a shooter whos in his last year of his contract and pollard who knows the system cause he used to play for us and can rebound!! then we draft jj redick in the off season

what do you guys think?

i dont like the pollard part...isnt his back shot? I know we hardly use skinner as it is, but I like having someone who could come into the game, and I don't know that Pollard could. But, if we had to do that to pick up Artest, then so be it. I like the idea of having more attitude on the Kings. Bonzi, Artest, and a p***ed off Brad Miller? Pretty sweet!

I like everything aside from drafting Redick.

We wouldn't and shouldn't draft JJ Redick. We have Garcia/Martin already, plus JJ is undersized (6'4" 190) NBA-wise for SGs, bad defensively, and not athletic. Very good offensively though (is driving to the basket consistently this season, or near it, supposedly). I expect us to draft frontcourt player(s) in next years draft, as we should.

Skita Tskitishvili for Kevin Martin.

One young underachieving project for another young underschieving project.

But now we can sorta do this with our bench.

PG: Hart
SG: Cisco
SF: Skita
PF: Thomas
C: Skinner

It may not improve us...But Skita is intriguing to me.

SLAB - Horrible idea. The mere thought of how badly his names - first and last - could and would be managled is enough to nix this idea.

;)

Successful Scenario
Due to Sacramento and Toronto being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Toronto had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

We went through difficult names of Peja and Hedo. So, I find it no reason why it will be tough for us to call him TskTsk. :p

- Kenny Thomas or Brian Skinner to Nets
- Marc Jackson to Wizards
- Chucky Atkins to Kings

Skinner is a good pf to play with Krstic. The Wizards need some inside scoring and we get an expiring contract.

I think what Petrie's doing...is to let Peja have a REALLY good stretch of games, and then deal him when is value is a tiny bit higher.

We shouldn't have a problem...but I pray for Jerry Reynolds under that scenario.

Or the guy who annouces for the Celtics. Tommy something. I heard him struggle through Hedo's name at least a dozen different ways in one game - none of them right. He finally just said "Him"...

Wow Ron Artest DID just demand a trade. Publicly too. He said he wants to be a NYK or a Cav, but I think that if we got him that he would enjoy the way adelman coaches. He said he doesn't like it when a coach calls every play, and adelman uses brad and mike for a system, instead of just micro managing the game. If the team started to do well and we got him, he would love it in sactown, at least I think so. What do you guys think?

WE already have a thread about Ron Artest demanding a trade in the NBA forum. I think it would be redundant to talk about it here, too...

Oh ok. Personally if the team plays like they did tonight consistently I'm down with keeping everyone:D (wish we could package some of our useless bench guys for a useful one though)

this trade makes sense

grant and jerry for the sonic's play by play...that guy is good
