Jermaine would probably give us a shot in the arm, although he's always struck me as a playoff disappointment.

I'm still kind of stuck on the idea of getting Paul Pierce somehow. Not even sure how good of a year he's having, and he certainly wouldn't help much with our rebounding problems...
I'm also for PIerce (but who isn't)

Peja, Cisco,1st

for

Pierce?

OK Denver is doing pretty bad down there and they are desperate to get a shooter. I think this one might make a little more sense and would work out for both teams.:)

Uh, Lenard at SF?

Nene won't be back till next season.

Lenard primarly plays the SF position. Even though he is undersized he has the shooting ability to play that position. We dont even have to worry about the SF because we can switch with Bonzi, Reef, Garcia, and Kenny Thomas. We get flexablity at the SF, PG, and PF position. This would make our bench like 50 x better. Just imagine with Andre Miller, Shareef, Garcia, and Skinner all comming off the bench. Thats like a starting lineup its self and we dont even lose 3pt % because Lenard is pretty consistent when he is healthy.

......Voshon Lenard at SF? Sorry, I don't buy it. Nor have I ever heard of him or seen him playing the SF position primarily. He's an undersized SG.

BTW, we wouldn't get Andre Miller in that deal. We'd get Watson.

Pierce would be great for this because he brings that outside shooting that Peja has plus leadership. Boston would also like this trade because they would get a sharpshooter and a first rounder that they could use for their rebuilding mode.

You would really trade Peja for Stephen Jackson ?

Not sure if I'd laugh or cry. Would probably rank as the #2 worst trade in Kings history. There's got to be something better out there.

also we could let peja walk too.... dam we could really rebuild!

or even take thomas out and add peja...... to the trade

13.5 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 6.1 apg in 35.6 minutes

Change in team outlook: +10.0 ppg, +4.2 rpg, and +6.0 apg.

Why for Sac: We get Pierce. We have to swallow Blounts deal, but to get Pierce you're going to have to.

Why for Bos: They get 2 expiring deals, and they have the choice to re-sign Peja if they want. Also get our 1st rounder. Pierce will probably ask out and they'll most likely want expiring deals not wanting to make any long term decisions on any big contracts they'd get back.

Why for Orl: Miller + D-Howard. 'nuff said.

Step 2
: Shoring up the paint and toughness

Sacramento Trade Breakdown

Outgoing

Kenny Thomas
6-7 PF from New Mexico
6.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17.7 minutes

Incoming

Etan Thomas
6-10 PF from Syracuse
3.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 14.2 minutes

Change in team outlook: -2.6 ppg, -0.3 rpg, and -1.0 apg.

Washington Trade Breakdown

Outgoing

Etan Thomas

Incoming

Kenny Thomas
6-7 PF from New Mexico
6.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17.7 minutes

Change in team outlook: +2.6 ppg, +0.3 rpg, and +1.0 apg.

Why for Sac: Etan will bring an almost Pollard like quality to the team. He can rebound, block shots, and play a little bit in the post.

Why for Was: They want a forward that can shoot the mid-range jumpers and fit into the Princeton. Kenny can. He is doing nothing for us off the bench and could start for the Wizards and they'll have a lot of versatilaty with Thomas and Jamison out there at the same time.

Step 3
: The Offseason: Free agent signings

OBJECTIVE 1: Re-sign: Bonzi Wells to whatever he wants!

Sign: Mike James (if he opts out) to 16 million dollar 4 year deal with most of the MLE

Sign: With the LLE sign Greg Ostertag.

After these deals the Kings look to be headed in a new direction with some TOUGHNESS.

We also have Big Nasty's and Skinners expiring deals to play with. Our PF/C combo won't rebound well, so our SG and SF will have to carry the load. I would even maybe start Tag like they do in Utah and let him get his 15-20 minutes, and foul at will big man! We're DEEP!!!

PG: Bibby/James/Hart
SG: Bonzi/Garcia/Martin
SF: Pierce/Corliss
PF: Reef/Skinner
C: Tag/Etan/Blount

Stephen Jackson brings lots of toughness and defense...and he can score in a lot more ways than Peja can. He dropped 30 points 12/16(?, around there) tonight against the Wiz. This trade would only work if the Kings made Reef the #1 option on the low block more consistantly.

There was an article on www.sportsline.com about Peja and Adelman. Tony Meija was the writer and he said trading Peja would be a the best thing to go, rather than firing RA. He also agrees with my idea of trading Peja to the bulls for Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, or Nocioni, or 2 of the 3. Chicago wants Peja, Chicago wants Peja.

Kings113 said:
Ostertag? Eh. I think he's fine and better off in Utah.

Definitely dig the rest though.
Tag/Etan/Skinner = Pain for anyone who drives into the paint! Tag would be perfect.

But the Princeton is here by deceased.

Your idea? It's a lot of peoples' idea (at least with Deng/Nocioni). ;)

I'd be surprised if Gordon was the main piece for Peja (in general, and probably with the Bulls).

Oh yeah, the Peja/Cato deal for Boston knocks off 21 million dollars in salary for them next season and puts them roughly 18 million under the cap.
