Chris kaman dosen't come off as soft, he looks like a big 7'0 265 lb dead guy on the court but like haywood, he dosen't get it done. They have similar stats. Kaman a few years younger. I'd never give up miller for either at this point. We lose any other passing to boot.

Haywood isn't the sole reason why I said I like the deal. ;)

From what I've seen, Kaman's been playing well. We'd lose passing with Pryzbilla/Cato/Battie/Skinner/Etan Thomas/Foster/Dalembert/Chandler, etc., also. Becuase there aren't any other passing centers like Brad.

So do you move miller and ....? for haywood and butler? Not going to happen and would be foolish for the kings to do it. Haywood dosen't average more than 9ppg(as a starter) and butler's going to get less touches in sac. He's a overrated imo. With l.a. he was off and on. I don't think shareef can carry the loard at pf for the long haul. But I agree that those other guys aren't great passers like you said. Still i'm not looking for starting centers. I'm looking at backups. We've got a pretty decent starting five(it could be tweaked a little though once people become available). It's our bench that is garbage.

Why? Because LeBron James just got by him for a dunk? ;)

I didn't pick up where he was slow.

If you've been watching him consistently, especially this season, you'd know he's quick on defense and stays in front of his man, flails his arms, and contests shots.

^I like Deng, he hustles and makes things happen with those long arms, but he's really not very athletic for a 3. He's not much more athletic than Peja, only he's more of a hustle player than a finesse player.

No idea if this has been discussed or not but maybe Petrie will give us Kings fans a late Christmas gift with this trade:

SF Peja Stojakovic & PF Kenny Thomas to the Bucks for C Jamaal Magloire and PF Joe Smith. Works under realgm.com

Kings get a C. Miller moves to PF with SAR at SF. Smith helps the bench a little and should be back next month from his injury.

Bucks get another shooter in Peja to help Redd and this allows Bogut to get the starting C position. Thomas wants to be a starter and he can do better in the east.

I think this is a fair trade to an extent.

New Kings -

Miller
SAR
Magloire
Wells
Bibby

Smith
Corliss/Cisco
Skinner
Martin
Hart/Price
Sampson

That is a nice idea. Anything to get Miller out of the 5 spot and Reef out of the 4. I like it. Hopefully Petrie thinks the same.

Anyone think its possible to trade the Philly three back to Philly, and get Webber back? We could then move SAR to the 3 and trade Peja.

Reef, Webber, and Miller as our frontline?

That is the SLOWEST frontcourt ever assembled. Probably even softer than now.

Would you guys do this..

Outgoing

Brad Miller

Incoming:

Marcus Camby

then we'd have the all-injury-waiting-to happen:

Bonzi's already has
Peja always gets injured
According to NJ SAR's knee is bad
Camby gets the same pinky problems as peja

well... 4 out of 5 aint bad:eek:

SAR's knee isn't bad... they just found some scar tissue in one of them from something he had done back in HS, and hasn't had a problem with them. NJ got rattled and closed the door.

The Best Trade of all.......

I would love to see the kings trade Peja and thomas for Josh Smith and Al Harrington. Both of them would bring some young athleticism to our team and some defense while atlanta would get a great outside shooter to open it up more for Joe Johnson. Gotta Remember Smith can be a good shot blocker too(2.3 per game).

Peja not going. Then who? and for what?

Petrie maintains firmly that he has had no discussions with Pacers regards Peja. He did not say "no discussions with Pacers" just none regards Peja. So that leaves open possibility he is/has discussed Artest. But for whom?

Today it's indicated that Walsh wants a young player and a draft choice. And not necessarily a SF as Danny Granger has progressed really well. Artest is making some $6.5M I think. A first round pick from Kings, assuming its in the 15-20 range, is worth less than $3M. Everyone on the Kings makes $5M or more except Cisco, Kevin, Ronnie and Sampson.

Corliss and a 2nd rounder?

Kevin or Jason Hart and 2 1st rounders?

Frankly I think Petrie wants to hold on to both Kevin and Cicso. I think the Kings may be part of one of several 3 team trades but cannot figure out how Kings can trade value for value to get Artest. And who do Kings have, other than Peja, that the Pacers would want?
