Old Trade Thread (no longer need to post all trades here)

I doubt that Ak47 and Okur for Peja and Brad will happen, and they are not what we need either. Okur is not def minded more like a scorer which is what must euoro players are like. And Ak47 is a great player but we need a go to player, i think the system we play today we are moving further and further away each game. To me a Peja for paul pierce would be great and him and shareef could play the inside outside game, would be a nice dual. And i like Playmakers idea of getting Joel nice rebounder and shoot blocker would be great for this team if not him i like the idea of Wilcoxs, Ethan Thomas, Steven Hunter or Theo.

This isn't a trade, but how about giving these guys a looksee?

Kedrick Brown: Unbelievable leaping skills...A monster dunk waiting to happen...Great defender on ball...Plays physical...Has rebounding ability, but his offensive game needs to be polished...Has done nothing remarkable in the league so far...

Born: 3/18/81

Hmmm??? I think he could potentially be a very nice change of pace backup for Peja...I would then slide Cisco to the 2, and send Martin down to the DL...What do you think?

Also, here are my other guys I'm lobbying for.

Omar Cook: Good defensive point guard...Talented playmaker...Likes to drive to the basket...Needs to develop a more consistant jumpshot...

Born: 1/28/82

Now you bring him in for Hart...Hart has flopped...It's time to try something else.

And one last guy...

Dajaun Wagner: Excellent athlete...Good scorer...Hart to stop one-on-one...Good running jumper...A little bit selfish...Must improve on the defensive end...Undersized shooting guard...Doesn't look good playing the point...

Born: 2/04/83

I think these guys could bring some youth and energy in to give this bench a shot in the arm.

I like Brown, he sounds good. I had him on my list of FAs I'd like to be signed before the season started (of course, none were).

Not sure if they get rid of Hart though. I wouldn't mind Cook though, he sounds pretty good. Wagner has had health problems, not sure how he's been since, but I wouldn't mind him getting a chance.

Let's see if I have this straight. Martin has twice had career performances this year, so you want to send him to the DL and keep Cisco, who has pretty much not done anything?

Yeah, that's a plan...

Yes.

Martin has had two career nights this year, but outside of those 2 gaes what has he done? Nothing.

The guy is so horribly inconsistant, I never feel confortable with him in the game...Sure, with Cisco his shot is horribly off right now, but he is still going to contribute in other aspects of the game...HE's going to be able to provide some passing, be able to slide into a point-guard type role...HE's going to be able to play decent defence (When he doesn't get foul happy). I just sence an aura around him that he doesn't get rattled...And I like that a lot...With Kevin, if he gets rattled he dissapears completly, I feel that if Cisco comes in, misses a few shots, he can still contribute in other ways. He'll still be able to penetrate and kick, and do the other little things he's shown...When he knocks down a few shots, and gets his confidence showing, I suspect him to be pretty impresive.

Kevin is a good defender too... I'd rather have the guy who can't and won't shoot the 3 than the guy that can't and does...

I'll admit I really don't know much about Kev's D, because I havent seen him play to much, so if Im overlooking the D, I take the blame!

As for the three...I know Cisco can make that shot...It's just a matter of hitting a few, and gaining a little bit of confidense!

:::And I'm admitting again, I'm abviously a Cisco homer, so my views are probably a bit jaded! Just a warning:::

Up till this road-trip Garcia was going well for a good stretch there.

Get Theo Ratliff out of your mind. Shame on you.

I love what Theo brings, but he is a TERRIBLE man-on defender and a worse rebounder. He'll shore up the middle with some blocks, WHEN he's healthy.

But, he's WAAAAAAAY over-priced.

Gordon.

damn, man. i have trouble sensing auras on people that i know, much less professional athletes whom i've never met. that ****'s insane. tell me how you do that....

Yeh, I almost choked on that one myself...I did include him last though! And, well, sometimes desperate times means desperate thinking!!

Two - three of our scrubs for macijauskas and lampe. With macijauskas we add a sg bench guy who can score, give us a bench kick. With lampe we can have a big sized backup who can score. We still need defense though and I've no idea where we are going to get it in the nba.

^ Nah. We can get better that. Where to get defense? Guys and deals can be had for it.

Love the Wizards deal. I love Butler's game, and Haywood/Daniels are good.

There is no way Washington does this, it would be a steal.

These guys are soft. The last thing we need is soft. Pay attention. We need a good defender who can score.

I don't really like Butler's game. He needs the ball a lot in order to score and I don' think he'd fit in well in the Kings' offense. Haywood is soft as Pedro says, and Daniels has been a bust this season. However bad Miller's been this year he's still one of the top 5-6 centers in the league, and if the Kings are going to trade him they'd better return a top player in return.

Exactly, miller hasn't actually been bad, he's kept us in games where everyone else was absolutely lost. Brads just been brad. A little lower at times because of the whole team chemistry. Bibby had a horrible first 7 games. Peja's slumped. If anyone has been good it was brad. What we need are a backup scoring pg. A tall, strong, backup center for brad and a scoring backup pf for shareef.
Shareef hasn't been all that hot in several games as well. He also looks like a terrorist. lol j/k lighten up. But his D lacks. He's definitly not webber. And since our 1,2, and 3 bench backups aren't doing anything, they should be moved in trades. They rode that sixers bench for a reason. It's showing now. I have little confidence in a bench that does nothing. Show me money. I want the world and i want it now. I'd even be willing to trade for hungrier players as long as they have heart, bang the boards, scrap for loose balls and hussle. Brian skinner has to do better than 2.6 ppg if he dosen't want to be traded.

Haywood/Daniels/Butler don't strike me as soft at all. Nor have I ever heard them called soft in my life. :)

As far as the last part goes - Ron Artest/Earl Watson/Mike James/Marcus Banks/Tyronn Lue/Harpring/Jumaine Jones/Deng/Nocioni/Dahntay Jones/Fred Jones/Patterson/Devin Brown/Keith Bogans, among others fit that.

As another poster noted, they're soft. I used to live in d.c. They've never been what i'd call, hardcore. Anyway they're stiffs. They don't bring it. That's the last thing we need.

You underrate brad miller buddy.
Not saying anything bad about brad, but i don't expect them to giving up Haywood who is a nice shoot blocker and rebounder. Caron who is a nice all around player, and Daniels who is playing bad right now but could be able to pick up his game at any time, for basicaly Brad miller. And if washington does do this trade they would be in the same situation with sac, a softfront line.
