Jalen Rose is so obnoxious.
I don't dispute that. The question surrounds the willingness to take the next step, fire Karl.I'd say the WCS pick is a a pretty clear sign that the Kings PLAN to keep DMC.
Too bad about Hezonja. Orlando has a good track record with Oladipo, Payton and Hezonja. Call me skeptical about this pick. Picking a meh rebounding defensive specialist at #6?
I think you're right there. But it's a risk-reward thing. I think "at ceiling" Mudiay would be a bigger impact player than "at ceiling" WCS. It's just that the floor, and maybe the average, leans to WCS.
The only picks I hated more than this one were Jimmer and Spencer Hawes. I hated those picks and people here jumped all over me to say how wrong I was. As it turned out, those were both terrible picks after all.
WCS is a good pick if Cuz is here and Karl is fired.
If Karl remains, Cuz is gone and we blew a the pick on a role player and passed up star potential.
That's how I see it anyway.
and can help keep Cuz out of foul trouble a lot more often. sign me upBSPN keeps saying he won't be a scorer. That's not why we effing drafted him for! Shut the **** up already! I think we are going to see what Cousins really can do without having the worry as much about defense as he had before.
You realize WCS most of the time was out on the perimeter guarding small guys, right? He will play with Cuz, one of the best rebounders anyways. He doesn't need to get 15 rebounds per game. He will be a great defender, and that's exactly what I want and what we need.Too bad about Hezonja. Orlando has a good track record with Oladipo, Payton and Hezonja. No, we're not, not if it helps Cousins.
I know its a shocking thing to draft defense, but it really is what will set us free.
I'm gonna call you skeptical right now, because he's not even a rebounding specialist. He is a rim protector.
I just can't get it out of my head that 3 years from now we're gonna look at this draft and slap our head that we let mudiay slip past us.
the espn analysts do suck tho. saying people comparing wcs to rodman and they dont see it. who is doing that comparison. all i saw was tyson chandler comparison due to defense. no one said wcs was gonna be a great rebounder. its his DEFENSE
There's flaw in logic here but I digress.
He's a role player either way. A good fit next to Cuz, likely very good but a role player nonetheless, just as Chandler, Ibaka and Jordan are.Any player as physically gifted as WCS has star potential. If he was physically limited sure he's a role player...
I didn't say rebounding specialist. He's a mediocre rebounder who is a defensive specialist
Praise on WCS aside, the impact this has on making Cousins feel wanted has got to be felt as positive by him and his camp. This is the ideal complimentary front court player to DMC. Possibly better even than a Favors.
Talk is talk. Actions speak far louder. This action should silence any doubt that the Kings ever considered moving Cousins... whoever started those rumors... it really doesn't matter at all now. We've got our front court tandem for the next ten years. Possibly a legendary one.
I compel you to drop the hype and drama (who we could have had, traded for... blah blah blah) for a second and apprehend the true situation of our front court as it stands. You can't help but be extremely pleased.
I'm saying y'all told me I was full of it before and you were wrong. I don't think I'm wrong this time either.
your argument included people being happy over hawes. that was not the case. most people were bummed over missing noah. i dont remember anyone celebrating hawes. maybe a few saying at least we got a bigI'm saying y'all told me I was full of it before and you were wrong. I don't think I'm wrong this time either.
