Happy with it in the short term but I still think we need another star level player and I don't believe he is it. Where will we find one if not the draft? cousins, wcs, gay, bmac and collision is probably not a deep playoff contender.
your argument included people being happy over hawes. that was not the case. most people were bummed over missing noah. i dont remember anyone celebrating hawes. maybe a few saying at least we got a big
Sure... but what you really do with that is draft for need there. Take a low risk, defensive guard. If you get a 6th-7th man out of it that can contribute defense...it's a win. McLemore is our future 2 anyway.
This is the wrong question to ask. Stuaskas isn't a terrible player. You trade him for better talent of course, if you see someone on the board that you really like. But don't trade him just to trade him.
I hope the Kings' medical staff had a chance to check him out before making this pick. He would be a great addition to the team if he is healthy. But foot problems has always been a big issue with bigs. Cross our fingers he gets to 100% very very soon.
I checked twitter, Vlade was saying that WCS wanting to work out for us DID make a difference. Maybe if Mudiay had come to work out in Sac he gets picked but I like this line of thinking....WCS wants to be here....I don't underestimate that nowadays.

Williams immediately points to picking a big man equals to DMC being out of Sac. Thats the thing with national media guys that have no clue about the team and just pick up on the main headlines and make assumptions. None of those guys knew DMC wanted WCS.
DeAndre Jordan rebounded at a similar clip in his year of college. I don't expect WCS to ever average 14 rpg, but he can easily average 10 per36 if he's playing closer to the basket. WCS wasn't put in a position to rack up boards in college. His offensive rebounding was quite good which is a good indicator.
That's a fair point I do think ultimately we may have to trade one of Stauskas or McLemore and pick up a veteran SG just to balance the youth/experience at the position better and clarify roles. I'm not as sold on Wes Matthews specifically as you are because of the injury. I don't think he'll be ready this year. But I like the general idea.

Seriously. These ESPN guys are clueless, they just said that Utah needs a SG. No the hell they don't. They have a good rookie from last year whos a good shooter, Rodney Hood. Plus they have Alec Burks who's their stsrting SG coming back from injury this year. They needed back up bigs.. SG is not a need for them.
If anything, it's PG which is their weakest position.
