Official 24 thread for 2006...

They will, at least, post an episode guide on ww.fox.com/24/episodes within a few days. Those are what saved my sanity last season when I lost power and missed an episode. They do a really good job of it, too.

Okay...

I have to admit that Jack Bauer has a very full life.

:D

Looks like another year of edge-of-your-seat excitement, with interesting plot twists, superb writing and Keifer Sutherland showing once again why he was the perfect actor for this role.

My favorite part so far has to be him telling Chevensky, "You're going to tell me what I want to know. How much pain you suffer before telling me is up to you."

Nice surprise seeing "Rudy" (Sean Astin) get a major role in 24. Liked how he took over Bill's office at CTU.

And thank god Chloe finally got laid. Err I mean had relations with a man. Edit as necessary as I don't know what is acceptable here sometimes.

Great show!! I haven't seen this show in a long time, but I am right back on the "24" express!! It got the coveted "Series Recording" label on my DVR.

Ok, I was out of town and had to TIVO both days. Needless to say that once I sat down to watch "just a little bit", it led to "just one more segment", and then ended up a 4 hour marathon. Afterwards, I realized that I had been sitting on the couch so tightly wound up that my muscles in my arms were aching! The tension that they can produce in just 5 minutes is amazing.

I am sad about the deaths of some of my favorite characters, but I realized long ago that NO ONE is safe on that show. It comes with the territory of knowing Jack Bauer. :)

Needless to say that it was well worth the wait!

Severe storms up here at the moment. If the power goes out, I'm going Jack Bauer on PG&E. They should consider themselves warned...

;)

Okay, I have to admit to enjoying Jack's methods of persuading Cummings to talk just a little too much:

Jack draws a knife to Cummings’ face and threatens to cut out each eye in order to get him to confess where the nerve gas is...

The only thing I wish they would just stop is the whole Diana and Derek thing. Send those people home already. We all know Jack is still in love with Audrey...as if that matters. The whole stupid "sensitive side of Jack Bauer" is just crap, IMHO.

Back to the good stuff!!!

12:47 P.M.
Logan explains to Jack how he was coerced. Cummings had lied to him and said it was too late. Yet the international issues from the previous year are still pressing. “The fact that you’re alive presents problems for both of us,” Logan says. Jack’s only intention was to find Palmer’s killer. He wants to see the terrorist threat through, but promises to disappear once it’s done. Logan is satisfied, and then shakes his hand, thanking him.

So, at what point in this are the Chinese going to find out Jack is still alive?

I love this show!!!

I was "shocked" when it turned out the nerve gas was missing from the containers...

...what with 18 episodes of plot twists left to go.

I'm thinking sooner rather than later Jack is just gonna have to set Logan straight.

I LIKE Mrs. Logan. Perhaps she'll begin to provide Logan with the spine he so clearly lacks...

:D

I approve of any first lady who looks like she could beat the crap out of the president!! I bet Barbara could clock George I and Laura could thump W, of course Hillary should've beaten Bill:p

The actor who plays President Logan is about 15 Lbs. shy of being a dead ringer for Richard Nixon.

I think that every time I see him. That has to be what they were going for. I predict Logan is not president by end of this season.

I'm thinking Mrs. Logan is going to become the de facto President, with the support of Jack and some others. President Logan just doesn't have what it takes...

I was just a little disappointed last night. Two guys Jack interrogated survived only to die later of non-interrogation related causes? Is Bauer slipping? They're not letting him do his job, IMHO.

;)

I love it when the show throws a didn't-see-it-coming, off-speed pitch, like at the end when you're thinking, "What happens if Jack somehow loses track of the girl and that old perv...BLAM! Well, that solves that problem..."

Anybody else recognize the old perv?

He was the "good" bad guy on The Pretender. I loved that show and was pretty upset when it was just abruptly canceled.

Now, about Jack's private life...They really need to get on with getting rid of all those distractions. I think Audrey should go nuts, hunt Diana and Derek down and dispatch them, and then - in the ultimate 24 moment - be killed by Jack as she's attempting to murder his daughter Kim.

:D

He's gonna be in deep dooty when they find out he's making all that noise and his key card has been stolen...

At least Diana and that weird kid are gone... I sure hope they don't end up coming back. I just don't think Jack has time in his life for all that foo-foo romance type stuff. He has people to question and terrorists to shoot.

Anybody else want to just walk up and slap the crap out of Pres. Logan?

I was cheering for Martha to do just that!:D

As for the little weenie.....he showed what he's all about when he got slapped down and robbed! Moron, walking the world in "condition white" with no street sense at all. (Another "Manager" in a job that requires a "LEADER"!) I guess he's too proud or too stupid to just deactivate his card key and get a new one! That's sort of the advantage of that system, no lost keys to worry about.

Watch. His sister (?) will set him up again, he'll fall for it again and he'll end up being kidnapped and held during a key part of the CTU operations...
