Official 2013-14 Free Agent Tracking Thread

Only problem is this exact same post can be found on 28* other NBA teams websites.

*Memphis Grizz sites probably have a different type of post. ;)
I mean I'm not sure he'll be a huge commodity. A couple teams will be interested but if we're aggressive enough, we could land him.

He would legitimately start on our team.

Kyle Lowry is my favorite name on the entire list for the Kings. but i think there is 0.0000001% chance of him coming here

With our front office's love for "crowdsourcing", We should go to twitter. Both PDA and Vivek have a twitter, i know.

Going to be a wild FA season.

Never liked Udoh, but he still has potential as a defensive big. Kings just need to find the right one that fits with Cousins the best. Udoh may not be strong enough to switch onto centers in the NBA.

As expected, the Warriors will let G Jordan Crawford become an unrestricted free agent after deciding not to extend him a qualifying offer.

Stein is reporting that Toronto confidant they re-sign Lowry with talks starting around $12 mill per year.....wtf. I like Lowry but not that much...not worth that type of money per year.

We might have some interest in Davis and Udoh but those are bench players at best. If we are banking on Davis being a starter then we are in all sort of trouble. He is a low risk high upside type get which I am all for BUT we need proven vets not home run type gambles.

If you thought Jason Thompson was inconsistent, why would you want a guy that lost minutes to Jon Leuer?

Because they didn't need a shot blocking, defensive PF next to Gasol, would be my guess. (Same reason they started Courtney Lee, instead of Tony Allen) JT took the same amount of shots per game as Deandre Jordan, and he played 10 less minutes a night. I want a guy who has athleticism/length/shot blocking ability and knows his role. Ed Davis would come pretty cheap, protect the rim and not shoot unless he has a dunk.

Looks like Kyle Lowry is re-upping with Toronto, good for him. If the reports are true that he is getting it for 12 mil. per, yikes! but Toronto while not a small market, isn't an ideal FA destination either as far as winning is concerned so I can see why they had to over pay.

League sources tell PBT that Isaiah Thomas is drawing interest from the Pistons, Mavs, Lakers, Heat and Suns.

Aaron Bruski ‏@aaronbruski 12m
Pistons have showed the most interest so far, talks have started in the 3/24M range. Other talks ranging from $6-7M per year.

If Isaiah Thomas is getting interest from the Pistons, could we be looking at a larger deal involving Josh Smith coming to Sacramento?

a good many of thise rumored teams make complete sense -- you could see the Heat thing lining up as soon as everybody opted out. they need another wepon, voila. The Mavs dumped Calderon...voila. Lakers had been rumored already. the two teams of most interest to us would seem to be Detroit and Phoenix, because both of those teams seem to have pieces we'd like to get our hands on as well. If one of there were the destination, maybe we can build this into a major deal.

I cannot for the life of me see why the Suns would be interested. Isn't three point guards enough?

That said, if they really are set on signing IT, why don't we make that Bledsoe - IT sign and trade a reality

Also, judging from their last two off-seasons, the Pistons apparently have no idea how real money works.

The Suns are interested. That's a good sign for us

Id rather have Udoh start than any of our current PFs to be honest.

Just read pistons also willing to give up Monroe in a s&t if he became too costly. I wouldn't mind getting back Monroe or smith if we had to send out IT. If it's gonna cost 8 mil, maybe package him with Landry and contracts should match up

That works for me although we would have to really hit the pavement for starting caliber pg. Livingston? Collison? Ehh. Although with smith you get closer to rondo. Ben + Williams + terry for rondo? Doubt that gets it done. We shall see. They drafted smart for a reason

Remember hearing that Malone was a fan of Udoh back in their Warriors days. Wouldn't be surprised if the Kings give him a look.
