That is exactly the standard first for a DUI in Sacramento County, minus the community service. Normally its two days work project, but I guess as an NBA player that would be a problem, so community service it is.

There still may be preferential treatment here. Absolutely mandatory for a first offense is a mandatory 30 day suspension of your license, and another 3-5 months of a restricted license which allows you to drive to and from work and to your DUI classes (which are once a week for 12 weeks), for a total of 4-6 months of having your license affected.

Except that suspension comes from the DMV not the courts. The DMV will suspend his license for pleading to driving with a BAC over .08.

Hey can we void his contract for criminal acts plus taking unnecessary risks to his well being? Had he got in an accident and injured himself we'd be on the hook for all that salary without his awesomeness.

Yes I understand that there is a separate DMV hearing. But, the DMV hearing could have happened already depending on scheduling, or maybe it hasn't yet.
