love that the Commanders just replaced Ron Rivera with another Ron Rivera.
Not too surprising since his competition was Jim, Trey and Brandon Allen (?) If I remember right, there were posters on this board that commented about Brock in preseason, saying that he looked good, better than Trey.

55 million people watched the chiefs ravens game, which was a new record. Then 56 million tuned in to watch the 49ers and lions game. Absolutely insane what a juggernaut the NFL is. No other sport in the US is close.
Is there anybody more Toyota Camry than Brock?

This might be the single worst take I've heard in 2024
Listening to national radio and the national talking heads, the 49ers have no chance Sunday. Not to mention the 49ers are crybabies for “whining” about the UNLV field.Does FS1 have futures out on Purdy sucking or something? Sheesh.
I also like how none of these jabronis acknowledge he's a 2nd year QB and this is first full year as a starter with all the reps as the 1 in training camp, etc. Meanwhile Superstar QB's like Lamar and Allen, with great teams, can't win in the playoffs. Purdy has more playoff wins than Dak in his entire career for goodness sake. We going to say Dallas hasn't had super stacked teams in his tenure?
Mahomes hasn't been all that great in these playoffs either. Certainly not perfect every quarter, which seems to be Cowherds measuring stick.
Idk, it's just disgusting how these national media types are just looking for any angle to bash Purdy, for literally no reason. And we already know that if Purdy drops 300/3 and a super bowl win, that everyone else is going to get the credit and he's just "lucky" he's on a stacked team.

In his 27 NFL starts to date Brock Purdy has not lost a game when his offense scored at least 20 points. With two weeks off to prepare I trust the Niners defense to have a better showing than they did against Detroit. It's reasonable to give Mahomes the edge over Purdy considering their relative experience levels but Mahomes only threw 27 TD passes against 14 interceptions this year. He's not been as sharp as he was the last time these teams played each other in the Super Bowl. And SF has better receivers than KC this time too.
I've seen little to indicate the defense will improve much from these playoffs. - its the opposite. its gonna be on Purdy and the offense. You can go back to the 2022 regular season replay Chiefs game and the 49ers got whooped for 43 pts. This year's defensive personnel are not much different that got abused by the Chiefs offense then, and Mahomes didn't even have to run in that game. If the 49ers defensive line manage to get pressure on Mahomes he'll just start running the ball for gashes as he always does. As noted also, if the run support from the seconadary doesn't get better, the Chiefs may score in the 40s again. The 20 pt observation I think will be blown up, I think 49ers will need to score in the mid-or high 30s. They're capable of it. Mid 20s won't cut it. Low 30s it'll come down to kicking game and be iffy. Plus Shanahan is horrible with time management and timeouts - another small grenade.
That's last year's Chiefs against a Niners frontline without Javon Hargrave. KC no longer has Juju Smith-Schuster (their leading receiver in that game) and swapping Jimmy G (a fumble, a pick, a safety, and a whopping 5 sacks) for Brock Purdy has got to be worth at least 3 touchdowns.
If it is such an amazing loophole or benefit, why aren't others doing it? Oh, yeah, because you have to keep losing your top coaches and starting over with new ones.
so the owners are mad that Kyle Shanahan employs and develops coaches of color that are so good they get hired to be head coaches? Sounds like something only a dog could hear to me.
