The only thing I'm worried about this season with the Niners is that they're off to such a goostart that the players, the front office, and the fans are already starting to adopt that "Super Bowl or bust mentality". I think that mentality is a good thing to have close to the playoffs when the players are already battered and tested and confidence can be the difference in advancing or not but in Week 5 there's way too much that can go wrong to start looking past the next game.
Yes, why I keep writing Shanahan has got to ramp up mixing in his 2nd and 3rds with his 1sts. Look down the depth charts and every playier should be given more playing time even in the 1st half....main units should only have to play if a deficit occurs. Shanahan must protect his top 10 or 12 players from injurires. Bring in Darnold, Pryce, Bell, Dwelly, Olinemen, Dlinemen secondary. Gregory to get his feet wet this game.
The team lost 3/20 quarters for a grand total 13 points, that's closer to a FG than a TD. The Rams are the only team to lead the 49ers for any amount of actual game time, and it was less than 1 quarter of play..
Luckily Cleveland forecast now has chance of rain dropping to 25%
