I would take a risk on Nene.
I like Nene, always had intrigue about him since 2004, and was willing to take a chance on him this past summer. He's looked pretty good in his short stints I've seen vs. Boston and New York. I want to see more of him, and think he will indeed get better steadily as the season goes on.
I can see Petrie doing it because of his interest history, and Nene's short and long-term situation. We seemingly have the pieces.
Just would eventually need to get a defensive center behind, infront, or replacing Brad Miller.

I could see it going either way, but I wouldn't dismiss it outright like some people here are doing because of a few weeks of basketball. He's back in the starting lineup now. They're slowly increasing his minutes. Now would be the time to get him. Even a couple weeks down the line it might be too late.
