[NBA] Comments that don't warrant their own thread: Training camp/preseason

I'm pretty sure they were all there early and left after halftime. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm hoping that's the case because if that was the entire attendance than Miami isn't really deserving of a NDBl franchise let alone an NBA one

Watching this clip, I'm not sure whether I want Dwight Howard or 47 year old Hakeem Olajuwon on my team. He's incredibly in shape!

Man look at Hakeemmove at 47 years of age.. he'd prolly drop 15 ppg today if he played with that silky smooth footwork man.

D12 looks robotic as usuall, but man if he can learn anything from those moves and bring them to the court, he's gonna be huge... I don't understand why he didn't using the bank shot in the middle of the video like Hakeem did though.

Rubio's stat line against the Lakers:

18 mins, 0 pts, 1 rb, 3 assists, 3 fouls, 4 turnovers.

A legendary performance by any standards :P

I never even realised that Lawrance Frank was now an assistant coach for the Celtics. Pretty good replacement fro Thibodeau.

I was watching Rubio in a few games in Euroleague last season. I watched him on the Wold championship too. And I watched him last night. And every time, I saw nothing... I can't remember the name of some player who was so exposed in the media and showed so little on the court. He's young I got that, but Peja for example won his first title when he was 17, then moved to Greece and became the best player of Paok. He was only 19 then. Dirk had 17,5 ppg in Dallas when he was 21. My point is that I really don't see what's so magical with Rubio? On the top of that, he doesn't want to go to Minnesota! He wants some better team and better city while every other European player would be over the moon if some NBA team picked him.

As for the last nights game, Barca proved once again that they can play without a problem with NBA teams. Even Kobe admitted that after the game.

I think he needs to be free on the court at the moment (I know, it's not a plus). He didn't play well in the World Championship such as the majority of team Spain and sometimes in Euroleague too... This is something we can talk about, but a bad performance in a friendly match tells me nothing (I didn't see the match anyway). I still think Rubio is the last player you can judge through the stats, he can play very well without scoring any point. We can talk he's not improved so much on offense since he was 16 years old, anyway I still prefer him as a PG over Jennings, for example, to name the one who said Rubio is all hype. Minnesota is the last team where I'd like to see Rubio play, I hope they trade the rights on him. It doesn't matter that it's allright he didn't want to go to the TWolves! Bad behaviour from him, but Rubio in the triangle post offense means nothing.

There is actually some truth to that. That is the single most PG unfriendly offense in the NBA, and the last one that needs or can really utilize a creative passer, let alone one who can't shoot.
