[NBA] Comments that don't warrant their own thread MAR

Listening to the Rise Guys this morning and it sounds like Kidd made a smart play intentionally running into the Hawks coach during play to draw a technical on the coach for standing on the court.

I like it. I hate the coaches always pacing the sidelines and standing on the court during play.

I think they need to move the chairs back a foot or so and also all the photographers on the ends of the court. No reason to be so close with players occasionally going out of bounds and the increased risk of injury.

I was flipping through channels yesterday and stopped on the MIA-ORL games yesterday and thought about this issue when I saw the MIA coach literally 5 feet in the court with the game in session!

It wasn't like he was toeing the line, or the ball was live at the other end of the court, no ORL was imbounding the ball and he was trying to motion to his team to pressure the ball and was literally 5-7 feet away from all the players!

Finley may finally be done -- been completely ineffective this season, and the Spurs just released him.

Ok - Kidd made his point and really you can't blame him. But this whole thing about coaches on the court is yet another silly NBA side show - big time wrestling antics strike again. It is supposed to be against the rules, punishable with a technical - by itself. Kidd, or anyone else, should not have to actually charge into the coach like that to draw the T.

Maybe so, but if that is the only way to get it called, more power to him in my book.

To be fair, the only reason Kidd ran into him is that he's too old and slow to change direction fast enough to get around him.

I tune into the front page of nba.com and guess what is the biggest thing i see?

Tonight on NBATV : Nets at Knicks, Gee what a great game for a frontpage :p

So, I just noticed that Mike Brown gave LeBron James the night off against Milwaukee; I'm sure Chicago, Charlotte and Miami fans appreciate the **** out of that...

So, apparently, the Knicks did two terrible things at once: not only did they lose, at home, to the Nets, but they appear to have set an NBA record for most three-point field goals attempted in a game (18) without actually hitting one.

Same game, another note:

Not sure if Nellie is just trying to stuff the ROY ballot boxes or if he has finally fallen completely off his rocker, but he just got done playing Stephen Curry all 48 minutes of a game, for the second night in a row -- both nights of a back to back. And its the 7th time Curry has played all 48 this season.

Evans just needs to do what he's doing. Doesn't need to catch up at all. It's a ****en joke that Curry has played 48 mins for two night in a row. Pretty Offensive actually.

Everybody is trying to catch Tyreke, not the other way around, and Tyreke's steadiness has just never left a serious opening for anybody. He's not 20-5-5 one month, he's 20-5-5 every month, month in, month out.

Its just notable to what extremes GS may be going here. Don't buy its the injuries either. They make a difference to be sure, but its not as if anybody else on that team is playing 96 minutes in two days. Nor on an 8-23 night was it like Curry was going so well that gee, just can't take him off the floor. It just seems as junky and tricked up as all the rest of that random system. Comparatively Tyreke's role with us has been dead serious -- consistent major minutes for our best player, but no games.

Once again, Kobe reminds me why I hate Fakers so much... Can't wait to watch our game against them on Tuesday.

Respect for Barnes, apparently he is also King for life:D

Nice job Matt Barnes! Big three and great D on Kobe on the last possession.

PS: Kobe seems to get food poisoning a lot... maybe the guy should think about becoming a vegetarian or something.. :)
