Musselman to force Petries hand.

Keep Hart and Potato Head....

i think that without a doubt at some point Musselman will force Petries hand in picking up some sort of Big with Reb and Shot blocking ablility... this year???

they might just go half the year, still giving up layups to easy, plus getting pushed around by amost every team with one or two big men...

even with the new energy def.... energy isnt going to keep Shaq / E.Brand / Duncan / anyother good Big man from backing down our weak front line and energy isnt going to stop them either ....also not quick teams, but Fast teams like the Suns will crush our flawed front line with players the just flat out burn by the first line of def. to the basket and Brad Miller is left alone at the hoop.

Im afriad to see what happened to us against the Spurs going on half the season but its not looking good.

after watching the first couple of game... yes i know its preseason but Brad Miller is gonna drive me nuts all year again and Taylor of the bench isnt helping... Sar is to slow... Whos left... Potato Head... our bigs are terrible at Def. and there arent many bigs...

all the energy in the world cant cover up this soft spot....

so i say Musselman loses his mind at the half way point and the Kings swing a deal for a shot blocker... using maybe heart, potatos, Corliss, and Taylors, contracts as trade bait?

and who's out there that anyone would ever trade to us...there arent really any shot blockers that are worth trading for, anyways. No one is going to give up good height for Pot/Taylor/Hart/Garcia, etc.

You know, there are members who always bring interesting discussions to the board.

Then there are...

this matter has exceeded rediculous. get a big man for G*DSAKES. our guards have to play their best for us to make the playoffs and they are gonna have to play even better if we expect to get out the first round. our big men are killing us. brad miller is not a top 5 center in the league. kenny thomas doesnt belong in the starting 5 of a championship caliber team.

I love it when people order Petrie to go out and get a shotblocker, as if shotblockers are just something you can pick up at the supermarket. If you really want a shotblocker why don't you make a specific, realistic suggestion? And while you're at it, find a shotblocker who also is a post presence. It's a lot easier for you to make an obvious proclamation than it is for Petrie to go out and solve the problem.

overall u dont seem to be a big kings fan, u bash a lot man, in the beginnin i agreed with u about amundsun but u just keep saying it over and over again, u say amundsun sucks about as many times as i say brad miller is a top 3 center. u got to give love to our players man lots of love

Amundson brings energy, hustle and rebounding every time he plays. His game has not changed now, he was like that. Coaches love a guy like him.

I think the Kings need to have a smaller lineup for many west opponents: Suns, Jazz, Nuggets, Sonics, Mavs (Damp can't run either), Warriors, etc. Why not try SAR at the 5 more and maybe start Salmons in place of KT? Can't be as bad as it is now.

OR move Artest to the 4, Salmons to the 3 and have SAR as first option off bench for the 5???? Corliss off the bench at the 3 or 4 depending on matchups.

I can agree with you on the suns and probably the warriors, but concerning the others, the Kings will need some size. the nuggets and sonics are loaded with bigs, quality bigs that make the Kings look like an expansion team. And the Mavs have 3 quality centers.
