First of all,
wahoo!!!!!!!
I've been an STH since day one and have missed 3 games. This game has to be like the sweetest......The first few years, just abyssmal......Then the coaching and GM changes to get to the player changes to get to this level. It had indeed been a wild ride. The first few years I was sick of seeing Houston winning all the time, however, if we didn't make it, they are the ones I would've wanted to see at Conn.
This was a crazy game. Everyone came out to play, and they did awesome. They kept their composure for the most part. And played their game. Their bigs didn't do much, because our bigs are just better. We know Sheryl would score regardless. She played the whole game, and how many NBA 3's did she make?!?! With hands, arms, and the kitchen sink in her face.....Our rookies were great! Chelsea and Kristen brought their boundless energy and showed they could play at this level with no problem. Kara played like maniac. It was nice to see her finally play all out and be that productive. Yo, Bek, and DeMya always fierce in the paint. Ka-Powell was held down, but they had to keep 2-3 players on her when she got the ball. Hammertime Maiga had great energy too. Olympia took up some nice space under the hoop. Her elbows a comparable to Snow's.....I would've liked to see Erin out there too....Not sure what's going on there.....
They showed the post-game interviews on the big screen, and Van is always gracious in his complements towards his opponents. Win or lose, he always has something positive to say. When he came back out he talked with a few fans. And he gave Yo a big hug while she was doing the radio interview. Sheryl also had good things to say, like she thinks Sac will win it all! Whiz also complemented the Comets. I think the funniest thing he said that Kara was a tough as a knot on a log....That just cracked me up! Kara was also interviewed. Said she was the table-setter, but would take the open shot. That's nice to hear.....
All in all, this was great. The crowd was soooooo into the game. I was exhausted when I got home....(But maybe that 45 miles I had ridden in the morning had something to do with that too!!!!
) So now let's go to Uncasville, and get it done!!!!!!
