"Moment of Truth" has to be among the leading candidates for biggest waste of TV time in the history of the medium. I watched part of it out of curiosity and was stunned. What kind of human being would subject people they supposedly love to that kind of embarrassment when the lie detector reveals the loved one has not only done something despicable but has blatantly tried to fool a lie detector about it?
How ironic is it that, at least according to the news, Drew Peterson wants to go on the show and face questions about the dead of his third wife and disappearance of the fourth? And if he does go on the show and take the test publicly, and if it shows he is in fact lying, could he be arrested? My guess is no, since lie detector results aren't admissable in most states, but it's certainly somewhat mind-boggling.
