Mikki Moore never commits a foul!!

According to him. I mean seriousely every single game i watch he complains about every foul that is called on him. Whats up with that? I could see if it was once in a while but it is every single time. And dont even get me started on his contributions.....What a waste of money....I l ike to hear someones argument to justify his signing.

It's not a big deal to me because he is full of energy. See last night when Miller got a foul call Moore went crazy like "WHOA! this is the first time we got a call tonight!".

I don't mind that Moore plays that way because he seems to keep the Kings pumped up, and playing well which is all good by me.

If you watch Tim Duncan play he is the same way. He can hack someone and get this look of disbelief when a foul is called. It happens get over it.

LOL......could you imagine Mikki and gary payton in the same line-up.

I will be the first in line to say that the officiating in the NBA leaves much to be desired. However, the constant complaining is sooooooooooo tiresome.

Whatever happened to being a good sport and just dealing with it like an adult?

Nonsense

Tim Duncan at least raises his hand once in a while and admits it was him. Every foul wether its offensive or defensive He throws his hands up and starts complaining. Be a man and run down the court. And since youre praising his energy is that what he should be supplying for the salary he is getting paid? If thats the case we can find a guy for half that salary that yells, says "whoa" and crys everytime hes whistled for a foul. You cant honestly say this was a good signing can you?

Well he's not as bad as Miller plus I like his energy and enthusiasm.

It's funny more than any thing after a drive to the hoop or dunk he always screams "ohhh and 1"

Not horrible because it's not long term but it's not too bad. He supplys some energy and has at least provided some spark to the team(and he's been healthy and pretty much played in every game).

I thought the Salmons signing was horrible last year but I was completely wrong about that one :p.

Read my sig.. LOL It's been up since we signed him.

Stat wise, and what we get for the $$ no it's not, but I think he was brought in as a bench/role/energy guy who was thrown into starting because we have nobody else.

If we had a decent starting PF, and Moore was the backup PF/C I woul be able to live with it, because he does bring the energy everynight.

he's way better than SAR and KT were doing. but still I get tired of the antics. When I was at the Orlando game last Tuesday I could hear him shout the "AAAND ONE!!" when he was laying it up. He missed that layup. come to think of it, he misses a lot of them when he's shouting "AAAND ONE!!", and instead its just "one" made freethrow.

I agree. I think Tim Duncan is one of the worst in the league. He never fouls anyone, but he gets fouled all the time and the refs aren't calling it.

Yes, it was a good signing because without Mikki, our power forwards would be KT and Justin. It's a short contract with an amount that has little if any impact on our salary cap situation. Think about it.

In many ways, Moore has a Kenyon Martin-esque attitude; back in his heyday, Martin would always roar and showboat his personality upon making rim-rattling dunks, and he would always sport a look of animation on his face upon fouls and/or good plays. It's a double-edged sword in many ways, but his attitude has his share of detractors (i.e. drawing the ire of Charley Rosen). At least, however, Martin was considerably tougher, stronger, aggressive for the kill, etc. with loads of other physical abilities that Mikki lacks.

Sometimes I wonder whether Mikki stays in the league through sheer enthusiasm. He's a 7-footer with length, athleticism and a jumpshot, but when you factor in his lack of strength, his lack of shotblocking, and his foul trouble tendencies, that nearly negates the first two and simply makes him a 7-foot jumpshooter, with enthusiasm. He acts tough, but doesn't always play tough, although that's probably due to his limitations of talent as opposed to hard work. However, he has consistently shown to outmatched by stronger, more athletic, more polished players--and that's why he's a journeyman. He looks like Tarzan, but plays like Jane most of the time.

This doesn’t just have to do with Mikki, but I’m just sick and tired of seeing players constantly argue with the refs. And the fact that some players just get thrown out of their game when the ref doesn’t give the call is annoying (to say the least)…I like to know how many times an official changed a call because a player argued it?

It is ironic that this topic should come up since Mikki leads the league in fouls. After watching him for a while now I have come to the conclusion that it is because he is so skinny. People go right around him and since he tries to draw charges instead of shot blocking he is constantly sliding into people, hence the fouling. Also in loose ball situations he is very uncoordinated and the flaying always gets the refs attention.

Side note other announcers have praised Cisco for acknowledging a good call on him before. Artest I also noticed does not argue hardly ever. I wish other players realized that if they argue sparingly it lends more credibility to them when they do feel a bad call was made.

Some people show displeasure because they screwed up. They are angry at themselves. I've never focused on Mikki because player's reactions to having a foul called has never been a priority for me to observe.

Well, except for Brad.

yeah, sometimes he just needs to more picky about the fouls he complains about. BUT there are other times when he actually has a legit argument. take last night's game for example: on his 6th foul he contests a layup, straight up w/o leaving his feet, and they get him for the contact the other player initiated. bye bye mikki. a minute or so later, douby drives, gasol contests and LEAVES HIS FEET to do so, bumps douby on the layup.... no call because he was "straight up," the ref says. now i'm not the smartest person in the world but common sense tells me if what was called on mikki was a foul, then douby should've been shooting a FT with a chance to tie the game. oh and then there's the phantom foul he committed on baron davis one game, where there was a good two and half feet between them with baron fading away lol. NBA OFFICIATING SUCKS. i've always thought of them as the worst in all of professional sports as far as consistency, but sometimes mikki just needs to let it go and let theus do all the complaining. not that he will, he's too cool for that lol.

I've come to grow to love Mikki and his antics.

As others have said, it seems to pump up the team, the crowd, and just gives this team a bit of fun and excitement. All in all, I think Mikki is fun to watch...Without him we'd probably still be about 12-20, but Id be much less enthused about watching the team if K9 was getting the bulk of minutes at the PF.

did anybody notice Brad miller do the samething after his dunk that Mikki does. he even put down the double 3's.

I bet Kenny Thomas is gonna come back the next game and make do a 360 on a fast break dunk, making the top play of the day. That or he just sits on the bench thinking that he will.

Wrong. Wrong, and wrong again.

Mikki Moore may make a token protest but he's pretty aware of every foul he makes. If nothing else, he's six hard fouls a game. That alone - especially in the paint - is a luxury we're not used to.

People have often complained about players NOT giving the fouls. Mikki gives them. And while he does discuss some calls - and pretty much every single player does at times - if you watch carefully you can tell by his face he's not serious.

Mikki Moore looks like Busta Rhymez. The arena should play a Busta Rhymez song everytime he gets a big dunk.

I like Mikki Moore. By no means is he a great power forward, but seems to work really well with brad. If you guys would rather have Kenny Thomas in there, we can do that.

Nice.

I like what Moore is bringing. He's not great, but he hustles, does some garbage work, and is enthusiastic while doing so. I like that. He likes to dunk, and I think it's rubbing off on Brad.

It all started with the cornrows, I tell ya. ;)

And he takes a charge like he gets paid extra for them. That is NOT that easy to find nowadays.

:)
