Marvin Williams?

how would you guys feel about possibly acquiring Marvin Williams in a S&T for the #4 + KT's expiring? Atlanta has a lot of decisions to make and I read somewhere that they would consider moving Williams to save some $$$.

I don't know the amount of money it would take but I think he could play pretty at the 3 spot(his natural position), he currently has been playing as a 4 in Atl.

Well, you don't need it... You wouldn't take Al Thorton 'cause he can't shoot threes? Gerald Wallace? Caron F. Butler?

He got much better from 3 this year. He hasn't quickly become the superstar that was expected of him going that high in the draft But at 23 years old this off season after what I would call his best year by far, I wouldn't mind taking the gamble if Atlanta has no interest in keeping him. This year he shot almost 36% from 3 after shooting around 23% the previous 3 years. He still could be a very high level player and still has potential. I think he might be able to bloom if given the chance to be a leader on the Kings team. Right now in Atlanta he might be their 5th/6th best player after JJ, Horford, Bibby, Josh Smith. Here he would probably be the 2nd or 3rd depending on who we draft and would get a lot more shots. His career arch has been quite good although slower than expected.

I think his biggest issue is he isn't aggressive or super assertive but he's probably had that issue for long time.

I think he's already a restricted FA, so there's no point of trading for him with a risk of losing him. If Petrie really wanted(which he doesn't) can use the cap space to sign him to a qualifiying offer.

I like Marvin William a lot. He is athletic, very good defensively, and he has obviously improved his skill-set since coming into the league. As for how to acquire him, I'll leave that experts.

I have to admit that whenever I hear Marvin Williams' name, I am intrigued by the possibility of him being a King.

But there is no way I give up a Top 5 pick for the guy, even in a weak draft year.

you'd rather taken Rozen? what has he shown? look at them in college, two athletic freaks, but M-Will had more game even back then..

I would only pick up Marvin if he's just a FA. I wouldn't trade or doing anything for him. He obviously hasn't fit his #2 pick but I still think he's young and he's definitely gotten a lot better. I think he's too passive, maybe things would change in a different location.

Not to mention, there's nobody in this draft named Rozen, just like there's nobody in the NBA named Shaquille Neal.

Back Problems, not a good shooter, cannot create his own shot are some of his weaknesses, the good part is he is strong everywhere else. I am not interested in a player that hits his ceiling in college.
