I'd like to see the Papa outside shot....supposed have a bit of range. Right now the 18 year old has no post game but he is a big boy.

As a lifelong Kentucky Wildcats fan, Skal is making me happy and sad. On one hand, I'm glad he's playing so well so early for my Kings, on the other hand, I have to ask myself where this was during the college basketball season LOL

How would characterize his personality? Seems very mellow to me.

Good example of Malachi forcing it on that drive.

Other than that though, him and Skal have been very impressive in this game. Like the defense he's playing on Buddy and love the activity of Skal

Skal and Malachi are sort of helping make up for Papa at 13 since he looks like he is years away from contributing to the team in a meaningful way.

I saw this in the other threads and don't get it. He's a classic stretch/faceup 4.
I think it can swing both ways in all honesty. He's anemic with rebounding, so putting him against a big PF will not lead to success. He can stretch the floor yes, but he can drive to the hoop too. Because of his sheer size, PF is gonna be the spot for him, but he does have some SF game.

Do you think Skal will be able to contribute much during the upcoming season? The stuff he is doing now I feel like he will struggle to do against the regular NBA players for at least a couple years but I would lying if said I wasn't excited to have a prospect like him. His ability to block shots and the sweet stroke has me envisioning Ibaka but with better post moves. swoon.

How has Malachi's defense on buddy been?
Good. He gets after it and has the size where you can see it actually helping dictate where and what the offensive player can do. None of that great hustle with little effect that happens with lots of players who lack the physical tools.

Skal looking like a lottery pick, nice touch and playing with fire, which was apparently his big red flag. As he gets stronger he will look better and better. Malachi looks good defensively on Hield and didn't force too much on offense just missed some shots but form looks great to me. Bounceback half for Willie, looked much more engaged on defense which I think sparks his offensive confidence. Papa looks lost out there, hard to judge him really, just a guy thats there, not doing anything really bad but not doing anything good either, needs to be more assertive in his movement, use his frame to seal off, with that said going up against a hoss like McMorrow is stifling him, too inexperienced to know how to use skill on guys like that.

Effort always translate. So far he seems to be doing just that. Not fear of the contact, that's gonna help a more hard-working hard nose kind of style if that's what Joeager wants.

Given that we have invested heavily into youth this summer with Papagiannis, Richardson, Labissiere and even I. Cousins, I am hoping that we are also investing heavily into the player development personnel because all these guys will need a lot of work to be good NBA players. Some more than others but they need a lot of time in the gym working on their game with the right development program in place.

As lost as Papagiannis has looked, there is something to work with there but there will be a LOT of work and it needs to be the right type of work, well planned out and executed development programs.
