[Game] Kings vs. Pacers 1/18/12 Game Thread

Donte Greene is the glue of this team I've always said that. We play well when we have a well-rounded 3 that isn't just a gunner.

We need wins. This team is crumbling. The correct answer is that there is no excuse for Jimmer playing over Thomas right now. Makes me wonder what the hell the coach is doing .. it makes him seem like a figure head for the Maloofs and the Kings marketing team. More concerned about selling Jimmer jerseys than winning basketball games.

Man I think Jimmer needs to see a therapist or something to fix his shot. I have no doubt he can still shoot and it's already been reported by the team/coaches that he shoots fine in practice. I guess people take a while to calm their nerves...

Why is Jimmer shooting horribly?? I don't understand...

It's gotta be mental. He hit shots in the preseason, in Jimmer's rookie all-star game, on King's night, in practice... it's gotta be his nerves when he's out there in actual games. As a basketball player myself, I understand what he's going through... the longer you go in a shooting slump, the harder it becomes to shoot it naturally. Sort of like bowling... you gotta try to not think about it, but it's tough when all you can think is "what is wrong with me?"

Dear EVERYONE on KF chill, Jimmer has gotten, what 6 minutes tonight so far? Whether he should play over isaiah in total mpg is to be determined but Jimmer needs to get some burn in order to acclimate the the NBA. He isn't playing well but he's not ****ing up that badly.

Why Jimmer is playing over Isaiah right now it baffling to me.

I think the basic view they're taking is that we're using these games like practice, and using the time to work through slumps/mistakes, etc. We know IT can play, we also know Jimmer can shoot, he just isn't doing that well right now... to bench him would hurt his confidence. I like that they're letting him shoot through this slump. Eventually he'll start hitting, and he'll internalize the confidence the coaches are showing in him.

He's our #10 pick. His ceiling is higher than IT's. To get there he'll have to work through and learn all this stuff, if not now, then eventually.

Looks like JT's face fouled David West's elbow. Never seen that kind of call go against the Kings before.
