Amen to that. I don't think I've ever seen a coach as reactionary and impatient as Westphal. Anyone know if he was like that when he coached The Suns?

We just lost back-to-backs to the world champs and an up-and-coming playoff team. We should still be better then the bottom of the league but out of the playoffs. Next year we will be better. Chill.

yeah, i just think that people are getting impatient because of the looming lockout and the reality of there not being a season next year, i agree with you though on the losses

So Dalembert went in for Cousins in the starting line-up yet they still scored 100 on us and we lost the game... Oh and for the 1st time in the season we didnt score 100 and had the most turnovers in a game... go figure...

The problem is that a coach is supposed to put his players in a position to succeed. He is only doing that for a few of the guys. Having Reke guard Kobe yesterday and sticking JT on Gay .. Landry on Randolph .. that isnt doing right by our players. Especially the JT-Gay matchup .. that one is really strange.
We are probly right on track .. right were we should be. I just find it hard to be completely positive when our coach is ( and has been ) making some very very questionable decisions. I know this is a long way down the road, but does anyone here think this guy can be a championship winning coach? It would be different if he was a younger guy who has real room for improvement as a coach, but at this point I think Westphal is who he is. And that is unfortunate as a fan. No faith in the guy in charge.

I think they thought they were though. More than one of them said something along the lines of them being "the best 2nd half team in the league", lol.

Yep. Cousins helps offensively because he can pass as good as he can score. Landry doesnt pass, Dally doesnt get the ball so he doesnt pass. Casspi isnt known as a guy who can get others involved. So you have Evans and Beno as the only playmakers, and they are both guards. Not a real recipe for success.

Almost made it last year. With Mike Conley emerging as an above average pg this season, they should be there.

My final rant for the night consists of us losing to the Griz at home. We usually ALWAYS beat them at Arco, at their place its a different story. Even last year when we were terrible, we still beat them both times at Arco. I know we are not very good to begin with, but come on....if they are scoring all these points the least we can do is score back at them. So much for that, I don't know who the hell besides Reke can create offense for this team. Everybody looks so sloppy except Reke/Cisco. [end of rant]

How many years have Kings fans been dancing the "next year" jig? I for one have had enough of it. The Kings have the lowest payroll in the NBA this year, and it shows. You get what you pay for in life, no exceptions. Unless the Maloofs decide to spend what it takes to build a contending team, The Kings will never be very good.

Its really easy to say that the Kings should have spent money, but I don't know who exactly you expected the team to offer big money to this past summer and that they would actually accept the offer.
