I'm pretty sure I read somewhere recently that Shaw thinks Lawson will be OK to start tonight. Unless that was an old quote and he's been confirmed out since...

Nuggets won 57 games, in large part because of their depth. They can mitigate the loss of starters more than anyone in the league.

That said, I'm looking for a huge showing from us tonight. Arco WILL be rocking tonight which should give us a huge boost. It's going to be fun getting the home court advantage back that the old Arco Thunder gave us. Now, it's all up to the guys to produce

Don't be so sure. The Nuggets are a very deep team. Even with 3 starters out, they can throw out a decent starting lineup and still have serviceable backups.

PG - Miller/Robinson
SG - Foye/Fournier
SF - Chandler/Hamilton/Miller
PF - Faried/Hickson/Arthur
C - McGee/Mozgov/Randolph

I expect a well fought game from both sides in this one, but hopefully Cousins and that Arco energy can bring us home a W!
oh, but those aren't the starters, and the new coach is seriously messing with their normal duck and chuck style. He doesn't like their bigs not being able to play like bigs. He's talking about starting Anthony Randolph at the 3. There are giant question marks how this is all going to work over there.

Awesome write-up, Tetsujin! Almost - note I said ALMOST - makes me wish I was going to be here tonight to be part of this epic thread. (Oh, okay. That's a freaking bald-faced lie. I didn't sleep last night because I'm so excited about going to the game...)

It's a great time to be a SACRAMENTO KINGS fan, and it's just gonna get better. I voted for piksi in the poll, but after reading your tome, I take it all back. We don't need piksi any more because we've got Tetsujin, the wordmaster!

GO KINGS!!

I apparently hold Mr. Tetsujin to a higher standard than you. ;)

Thanks for all the kind words, guys and gals.

Obviously, everyone's really been missing the game threads if they're at the point of thinking my writing's any good.

I think my anticipation for tonight can be summed up by this:

I see America's Line has the Kings favored by 3 points. A little surprising. Home field advantage I guess. Then I think the Kings should go ahead and beat them by 6 points.

Faried being benched is awesome and crazyness.

PDA was with Denver last year. I'm sure he likes Faried. I like Faried. Faried + Cousins would make me very happy.
I love Faried. He sucks defensively, but he's absolutely a guy who needs major minutes and should be on the floor as much as possible. Very few impact a game with energy the way he does.

Just got into the old barn. She's never looked better. Should be a fun night.

I'll do my best. Working from my phone of course. (Real Kings writers have no need for press credentials).

Quick programming note, those of you looking for content from inside the arena are probably better served watching my twitter feed since its a little easier for me to use than the board's mobile interface.

Stern walks through the arena an hour prior to tipoff. Receives a standing ovation from the fans in attendance. Only in Sacramento.

Perhaps our bench will be the difference maker. As serviceable as their bench may be, we can throw out IT, McLemore, Hayes, etc two of whom could be starters even on decent teams, especially young Ben. Maybe he will have the jitters but who knows?
