Dear Maloofs,

Good idea not re-signing Damon Jones two years ago. Yeah. How's that extra money working out? You guys are having lots of fun with it I hope?

Thanks,
Kevin
Cute. Nice how a loss always brings the sarcasm out in some people.

VF21, I love how you can always be so positive. I take losses like this very hard, especially when it's on national tv, because I hate having to hear all the crap by the national media.
I have been a fan of this team for way too long to let a loss like this really bother me and I don't give a rat's patoot about what the national media has to say. The whole game was all about Shaq anyway...Marv and Doug were practically slobbering over themselves about him.

I can live with a loss like this. I'm not happy about it, but I can accept it. I didn't think the Kings would go 82-0. I didn't think the Kings would go 60-22. We are going to lose some games.

I hate Shaquille O'Neal but he is still the most dominant player in the game today. With Miller in there, we at least had a bit of a chance because they would have traded fouls and we might have gotten lucky and gotten Shaq to foul out first. With MIller in the locker room, however, we had a horrible second quarter. They came back with some spirit in the second half, only to lose Doug.

It just wasn't in the cards, although the bitter part of me would like to say it was in the officials' script. (I wouldn't mean it, though.)

We did not lose to an inferior team. We fought hard against a worthy opponent and ended up losing by two. Not what I wanted but, again, I'll live with it.

Blowing the leads is going to eat at me for a while, though, and I'm sure it's something the guys are going to be quietly discussing among themselves. ;)

Hey VF we usually fall on the same side of things but don't ya think this loss is very telling in the makeup of the team? A 17 point lead and then in near the end we were up by 10 after trailing?

My questions...

Why didn't Peja make any big shots near the end? (typical of course)

Why did Bibby pass up outside shots to try to drive inside? (not typical don't know whats up with that)

Why did Cwebb shoot the final shot like 5ft from the 3 point line?

typical Kings play IMO we have seen it over and over and I am starting to get tired of it. I am a fan of the kings and love the Kings but its time we take that next step. Just dont think this group of starters can do that

Its a bad loss, I have had some "POPS" so take that for what its worth.

Just a little upset right now about this one

Peja acutally made a three that gave them the lead.
Well just looked over the stats ... 3-6 wasn't so bad but look at his action vs others (note I am a huge peja fan

He just doesn't have that killer instinct that it takes to win

I don't know why they didn't get the ball to Pedja more. I was hoping they would because he certainly didn't seem to have anyone on the court who could stop him.

Bibby passed up shots to drive inside to try and draw some fouls I believe. Again, I'm not sure...

Webber took that last shot when and where he did because time was running out and Miller was right under the basket. Webber's shot missed but Miller wasn't able to grab it for the put-back in time... If he had, it would have gone to overtime.

I understand you being upset. I'm upset. I would loved to have shut the mouth of the Large Living Room Suite (with occasional tables, standing halogen lamp, area rugs, sleeper sofa, two recliners, ceiling fan, lined drapes, overstuffed chair with matching ottoman, entertainment center, framed picture of Don Johnson and Philip-Michael Thomas, multiple HD-TVs, chauffeur-driven golf cart for room-to-room transport, in-house catering service, hotline to Chad Ford and 12-tall artifical Christmas tree)! I detest him!!!

We could have done it at full strength. We could have done it if Miller hadn't spent a lot of time getting his shin sewn back together. We could probably have done it had DC not been ejected. We might have been able to pull it out with Bobby. We could have done it had we not had that period in the second quarter when the whole bleeping team started running amok and playing stupid basketball. We could have won had we done a lot of things just a LITTLE differently. We didn't, though, so we move on.

It's one loss. Not a nice loss, but I'm sure we'll recover.

I'll add one more comment because I was too busy typing to see your last words, BigWaxer...

It's become in vogue to dump on Pedja and I think it's about time for it to stop. He was working very hard out there. He was moving away from the ball about as well as I've seen him move in a long time. He got some boards, and he played smart ball.

It takes a team to win or lose. The team lost. It isn't attributable to any one person or thing.

ya I know VF... just upset about how we lost and our record against winning teams. Not a good thing for sure. I should stop posting before I insert foot in mouth.

Man I wanted them to win this one win bad. They looked so great in the first half 2

You also know from my very first posts I am a very very huge Peja supporter so for me to be upset on him says something.

He is my second fav player besides bib on the Kings

Is it just me or was Wade looking when he pushed Doug Christie before the technical?
He didn't push him. DC had run up the court and stopped. Wade was running up after him and ran right into him, taking them both to the floors. Words were apparently exchanged that led to the double-technical although the camera was on DC and I didn't see him say anything... Wade was called correctly for the personal foul but I don't think either of them should have recieved technicals. I think this is a result, in part, of the Pistons-Pacers debacle. The officials are going to try and keep control on the court at all costs. In this case, I think the official over-reacted and saw more than was actually occuring.

The only thing that I saw was DC saying something while pointing to his eye...... I am just going with Doug. Dwayne probably saw where he was going but is faking it that he didn't.
