Kings Roster:
DeMarcus Cousins / Chuck Hayes
Marcin Gortat / Jason Thompson
Jared Dudley / James Johnson
Marcus Thornton / John Salmons
Isiah Thomas / Jimmer Fredette

With this more balanced team, Aaron Brooks can be cut.
Jimmer Fredette can be the point guard of the second unit because of the PG's skills of John Salmons.

lol why??? we give up some serious talent in reke for 2 role players? the good teams have great big man and a great wing player. we have both.. we need complimentary players around both of em.

Tyreke will never be a supertar. I see him as a Larry Hughes type of player: a good player but injury prone, a bit selfish and bad shooter. After this trade, each player will play with his strengh:
Thomas, Thornton, Dudley, Gortat and Cousins is a good starting five.
Fredette, Salmons, Johnson, Thompson and Hayes is a very good bench.

You do realize of course that you still have to pay Brooks even if you cut him. He has a two year contract with and option on his second year, and the option is his. So you esentially would be paying a player around 7 mil for this year and next year combined, for doing nothing. You also have to remember, that your perception of Tyreke isn't the one that matters. You don't think he'll ever be a superstar! Thats not really relevant. Will he be a star in the league? Some might say that he already is, and others might say that he will be. But few will say that he's just another run of the mill role player.

Trust me, there are GM's and coaches sitting out there right now that firmly believe that Tyreke isn't being used properly, and if they had him, Wa La, he'd be the star everyone thought he would be. And thats whats relevant!!!! Having said all that, trades are all about what both teams need, and not just what you need. The Suns might desire Tyreke or Gay, but they need Gortat more than they need Tyreke or Gay. Robinson doesn't even come close to filling their need at center. Unless they get back another servicable center, they'd be left with a huge hole at the center position. And please don't tell me that Jermaine O'Neal and Luke Zeller are servicable

how about we keep tyreke and put him in effective situations? our dumbass coach doesn't know how to put players in positions to succeed.

Replace Evans with Thornton and the Kings would be set. The Suns are getting hosed though so hard to see it happening.

I was literally going to say that. The only way I would do this deal is if we replace Evans with Thornton. Besides I don't think Gortat is the fit we are looking for next to Cousins. Don't get me wrong he is a good center, I would just rather have a different type of player.
